    California doesn't agree.

    The concept of a "sanctuary city" violates federal law.

    They have a state law that prosecutes those who assist federal law enforcement officials.

    Nonsense. They can't be Trump supporters. They aren't openly carrying guns. On the other hand since none are black maybe they are.

    That's fine and all, but it in no way means it needs to be granted. They can apply for Mexican aid as well. We aren't their only option.

    I haven't moved onto any other topics. The border is located in SoCal you see.

    California policies and laws on immigration are also not "other topics", but directly applicable to why illegal aliens cross in CA.

    Why should they? If 100 thousand Mexicans just decided one day to flee and just expect to become US residents...we'd close that **** down.

    Just because a town-sized group of people marches toward us, doesn't in ANY WAY mean we should allow them entry.

    The Operational Security there is non existent.

    The point was that the border control and immigration is operated by Federal agents, and they do NOT have different immigration system in California.

    They are going to specific locations... not the entire border.

    I don't think the opposition here is based in "anger". I am certainly not angry. I see this issue as a problem which needs to be fixed. I'll ignore your condescending tone and suggest that complacency has only helped put us in this position in the first place. Whether it is "anger" or patriotism or Trump or a sense of right vs wrong or a desire to protect America first or any of a hundred other possible motivations ---- I don't much care what is inspiring people to care about this issue ---- I'm just glad to see it being highlighted and I hope this will light a fire under our politicians to fix this.

    Asylum is determined by the DOJ, therefore the application can be filled out and submitted from the country of origin, and if it is accepted by the DOJ the person would then be granted access to enter legally. Even if you are seeking asylum within the US you are required to be here legally in the first place. We do not have to allow a single one of these invaders into this country, nor should we. We used to be a country of laws, but liberals are doing their best to eliminate that now...

    The pay is already in the budget. A soldier on TDY gets paid in Big Bend or El Paso as easily as on the Kentucky/Tennessee border.

    They can be deported for being here illegally, perhaps its time to deport every illegal the system comes in contact with, no exceptions. That would put an end to that abuse...
