Might I recommend you refrain from tempting me into an unpleasant exchange and realize I stopped that separate discussion with you to avoid doing so. Perhaps a review of my history here when others do so would help you understand the folly you are purposefully stepping into. If however, you decide to play anyway I will certainly reciprocate aggressively.
Meteors and comets are debris created when our star began its life that were not incorporated into larger bodies (planets and moons) though some have indeed become dwarf planets over time, these are natural results of any solar system.
You stopped that discussion because you either didn't want to be caught on a GROSS double standard! OR, you just didn't want to admit that Sanders and Obama have some level of responsibility. Personally, I think that you are too intellectual to have double standards, but for some reason you just didn't want to admit that they have some level of responsibility! Loyalty to Sanders or Obama perhaps? Folly? I look forward to it.
Fine....Obama and Sanders may have said something at some point that an unstable person used to act like a fool...Trump does so almost continuously and regularly in person at rallies and on TV. By pretending to know my mind better than I do and trying to debase my character you cross a line and make clear the type of individual you present here so you likely deserve ridicule and humiliation regardless of anything else. That you seem to ask absolutely stupid questions that a five year old should know the answer to would be bad enough, but when the childish question is answered you do not seem to understand the answer...this indicates you are either a very young person with the blinders of religion or deficient in neural function. If you actually wish to play this mental roulette game please understand before beginning that I am of far superior intellect (obviously) and have spent decades honing my skills at decimating the inferior without stepping too far over internet forum lines, to the detriment of more than a few little punkin' lickers like yourself so.....Have at it Peni$wipe.
FAITH: complete trust or confidence in someone or something. CONFIDENCE: the feeling or belief that one can have faith in or rely on someone or something. Notice how each definition has the other word in it?
Notice, if you can, the finer points of language use and intricate ways in which it is used by each individual when forming opinion and position. While I understand the need for over simplification of concept a simple mind must use, I do not excuse it. The term "Faith" is used differently in a religious context than in general conversation and not recognizing this is another indicator of your limited intellect in play. .
Of course it is, but "complete trust or confidence in someone or something" is a pretty big part of someone's faith.
I don't have a belief in god. I'm agnostic. Therefore no faith. I may be right - I may be wrong. I see no compelling evidence for such a being. For many other things I have a belief. I believe the sun will 'rise' in the morning - but that's not a religious belief. Cave men accepted that before religion was even thought of. I have no reason not to believe that what has been happening for billions of years will not happen tomorrow. Of course, I might be wrong. There came a time in history when it became necessary to differentiate between those who believed in a god anfd those who didn't. Thus the words Theist, Theism, Atheism came into being specifically for that purpose. However you 'modernise' the words their original still stands.
Agreed....however "faith" in science is based upon experimentation (both personal and in literature) that has more than proven inaccuracy as a basis. I can see the moon and that it is spherical...I can spin a bucket of water over my head without spilling it...etc...
Okay....will do. The LHC probably already has. Let me know when you guys can show me how your "God" did it.
What is nothing? A few years ago there was 'nothing' between the stars! How wrong we were. Nothing is a way of saying. there may be things we know 'nothing' about.
Like I said....let us know when you know how your God did it. Miracles do not work for either of us but we are at least trying to figure it out while you twiddle your thumbs and wear ear plugs. https://www.imperial.ac.uk/news/149087/scientists-discover-turn-light-into-matter/
I'll try. When you can tell me what nothing is. Quarks are recognized today as being among the elementary particles of which. matter is composed. The key evidence for their existence came from a .- series of inelastic electron-nucleon scattering experiments conducted between 1967 and 1973 at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. Other theoretical and experimental advances of the 1970s confirmed this discovery, leading to the Standard Model of e!ementary particle physics currently in force. Now prove to me that nothing exists. I can prove to you by science that many things exist - even matter between the stars. Unfortunately I cannot prove that 'nothing' exists. I've seen no sign of it anywhere. Who knows, even god/s may exist somewhere. There are plenty talked about.
Wrong. Check the definition of "faith". Then post the definition that you feel applies to a belief that there is life on other planets.
Billions of years ago gasses, mostly hydrogen, were drawn together by gravity. They accumulated and the gravity accumulated. They pressed in on the center of the mass, compressed it due to gravity, and as it compressed the temperature increased according to the Combined Gas Law [ (P1*V1)/T1 - (P2*V2)/T2 ]. As pressure increased, temperature increased, and eventually the hydrogen "ignited" in a nuclear fusion reaction. Next question?
