    President Donald Trump created the first national park to honor black people who fought in the Civil War with the designation of Camp Nelson in Nicholasville, Kentucky, as the nation’s newest National Monument.
    The media paid little attention, but President Trump signed the proclamation on October 26 making Camp Nelson a national monument, Daily Wire noted.

    “Camp Nelson was one of the largest Union Army recruitment centers for African American Union soldiers, then known as United States Colored Troops,” Trump’s proclamation states. “During the war, thousands of enslaved African Americans risked their lives escaping to Camp Nelson, out of a deep desire for freedom and the right of self-determination. Today, the site is one of the best-preserved landscapes and archeological sites associated with United States Colored Troops recruitment and the refugee experiences of African American slaves seeking freedom during the Civil War.”

    Good on Trump for highlighting the sacrifices of black civil war soldiers.

    This didn't happen under Obama, it took Trump to get this done.

    first we heard of it, you sure Trump even knew he did it, don't remember a single tweet on it from Trump and you know he would of tweeted, then again maybe he did not want anyone to know until after the election? is Trump proud of it, how about Republicans? why are we just hearing about it now?

    Why would they ? There's nothing good to say about Dirty Donnie. On the other hand, I'm sure they'll publish it if he resigns.

    seems pretty significant to create a national park to honor african americans. but of course the fake news media can’t break their narrative. we all get that.

    It wasn't his idea and since Dirty Donnie routinely lies 99 times out of 100 I wouldn't believe a word he had to say on this topic. Oh, and "fake news" has lost it's significance as an excuse for him.

    if he even read it enough to know what he was signing, he has a staff that hides stuff from him and tries to help him do the right thing to protect him from himself as we have heard

    had Dirty Donald known what he was signing, he would of bragged about it on twitter, that is just who he is
