My opinions tend to be based upon what looks to be reality. In order to call Carlson a racist would demand that I have actual evidence of such racism. I know of no such evidence in the public domain.

But we agree that people who did what those people did to Carlson is scum, if scum means low character irresponsible people who need to get their emotional behavior under some control.

Anyways, it just appears to me that the bar for being an racist has been lowered to such a degree as to become a meaningless term. It is overused, and is less apt to actually be pertinent these days. Hurled about, thoughtlessly and irresponsibly. Just like comparing someone you don't like politically with Hitler, and the opposition being nazis. And all the while, these same people demanding to be taken seriously? ha ha

David Duke is a racist, and at least we have agreement on that. Members of neo nazi groups and the KKK are shameless racists. Strom Thurmond was a racist. The policies and utterances of George Wallace were racist. The South with separate schools, water fountains and bathrooms were racist. Seeing all black skinned humans as less than human, and inferior is racist. Discrimination because of skin tone is racist.

Today all it seems to take to qualify as a racist is an opinion, one that even lacks any objective evidence. All one has to do is to "feel" to intuit, racism, and then that is fact. And is therefore generally totally subjective, and subject to the whims of partisanship and political triblalism. ha ha

Why is he racist again? Because he is white and republican? You guys sure throw that term around without thinking twice about it. Your next thread should be a public apology

I can name a hundred white Republicans I don’t think are racists. Tucker’s opposition to diversity says a lot to me. And I’m sure you disagree.

Man who obscenely harassed Tucker Carlson’s teen daughter was a board member at ‘Women’s Initiative’ health group

I have always regarded men who make a big deal out of supporting feminist causes as potential exploiters and phonies.

Why do you claim that Tu-Ca "opposes diversity"?

He properly takes on favoritism. We are ONE People, with ONE Law, applied without favoritism.

I don't know but I have to say, I can't condone harassing someone at their home even if you find them to be offensive.

You may be surprised to learn that it's right-wing extremists who commit the majority of domestic terrorism.

The country has gone so insanely far-right that Carlson does, at times, seem liberal.

But liberals are the OTHER conservatives, so not too surprising...

Perhaps the best of a pretty unsavory FOX lot, yes.

And of course, CNN, MSNBC and etc. are equally bad in their own way.

All pretty much useless mouthpieces for the kleptocracy.

If they broke his door, that is different altogether and people should be arrested. If they were entering his house he would be entitled to use force to defend himself.

I think he is a lying asshat who is no journalist, but I disagree strongly with personal intimidation at his home (even a legal, non-violent protest) and doing physical damage to his home is reprehensible.

You've got to be kidding. Ringing a doorbell is not illegal. As I say, I haven't been able to watch the video but if one or two people went up to the door and rang the doorbell to get his attention and then retreated off his property to protest, that would not justify a physical response.

They have no business being on his property

The protesters are trying to intimidate Carlson with threats of violence and if the cops do nothing carlson should

Spraying them with skunk musk is a non lethal way of dealing ANTIFA thugs

I have now seen the video on youtube.

One person walks up and rings the doorbell then retreats off the property. Then it is a bunch of people standing around, not doing much, one guy with a megaphone not sounding particularly aggressive (in tone or words) until he says "we know where you sleep at night" and then leads a chant saying the same thing.

One person ringing a doorbell doesn't justify a physical response. No way. Nothing to suggest this is ANTIFA, nothing to suggest they were thugs. They certainly weren't acting like thugs.

I've already said they were way out of line targeting him at his home. That's just wrong. But they were not on his property and he would have no legal justification for spraying them when they were standing off his property.
Call the police, sure. Be prepared in case they did come onto the property, by all means.
But this is just a bunch of asshats chanting offensive things. They might have sounded intimidating, but other than a few seconds when one person rang the doorbell, they respected his property as well. No reason to escalate things.

Ok we agree they were out of line

By that I mean they should not have gathered as a mob and shouted threats at tucker carlson inside his home

I think skunk spray for any protester who comes up to the door is appropriate

That is the only way a single person can stand up to a mob and make them go away

Out of line is not the same as illegal.
They were standing OFF HIS PROPERTY. Spraying them with a foul-smelling substance would almost certainly amount to assault.
What you suggest is absolutely NOT the "only way" to respond. Want proof? He didn't do that, and they still left (unless you are going to tell me that they are still there).
Here's another way: call the police. If they are doing something illegal the police will arrest them or give them a warning to move on.

i dont know if disturbing the peace in a residential neighborhood would be classified as illegal by a liberal police chief f who owes his job to other liberal anti republicans on the city council or mayors office

But if the cops do nothing I would deal with the mob in the strongest non violent method I could think of
