There is another article I am searching for that states these investors are in agreement that the clean energy is the new MEGA BUSINESS. They also state that France's Macron handled it the wrong way.

But Trump is owned by Saudi and Putin and we let this putz make decisions for us in favor of petrol states? Just wow! He's got to go!

    Bullshit.
Loony liberal NY politician Tom Dinapoli and other liberals are trying to bully the world into submitting to their blackmail by refusing to invest in companies that don't operate they way they want. **** them. The world economy is based on profits and if these *******s want to be left out then so be it.

Just imagine how much oxygen would be spared and how much CO2 would be stopped from polluting the atmosphere if the majority of leftists committed suicide.

And our soon to be banana republic is allowing a self-serving grifter such as Trump to have any input on the future of energy. He bull-****s about bringing back coal jobs and his fans cheer this crap on...:frustrated:

No one is doing anything to stop climate change.

Nero fiddled while Rome burned. I guess we can do it too.

There are many taking the initiative but The USA is now an embarrassment in that arena. This is one main reason why I would support Michael Bloomberg for POTUS.

U.S. private and public sectors have already committed themselves to clean energy and energy efficiency. The only ones on the planet that haven't are the Trumpites - a tiny bit of the world that still thinks coal and oil are the way to go. You know, Luddites.

Another investor demand on governments is to introduce “economically meaningful” taxes on carbon. Most are below $10 per tonne, but needed to rise to up to $100 in the next decade or two, the investors said. The French president Emmanuel Macron’s botched attempt to increase fuel taxes and the gilets jaunes protests that followed were a model of how not to do it, said observers in Poland.

“It failed to take people along with them, accompanying the policy with social measures to allow citizens to embrace the opportunities of the transition and ride out the challenges,” said Camilla Born, of advisers E3G. The host government of the climate summit, Poland, is heavily reliant on coal and is stressing the need for a “just transition” for workers in the fossil fuel industry

The United States military sees global warming as a strategic threat and has planned accordingly. I don't think it involves coal powered anything.

Why make it so wildly partisan?

Climate change is serious; TDS is a personal problem.

How does one make it partisan by stating the truth of what is playing out in this country? And the truth is that our pathetic energy polices are being addressed and dictated by a jerk who is owned by foreign entities of petrol states. I resent it and call it out as I see it. Get rid of the misfit in The White House and elect an actual leader so that these issues will be addressed for the 21st century.

Mccrone is a globalist Democrat that just happens to live in France. Globeless democrats would love to bring the same $7 a gallon gas prices to America and tried to destroy our middle class and make everybody poor. The goal is to get all the little people out of their cars and onto the trains. They want to save the roads for the elites only.

If you believed globalist democrats have America's best interests in mind you are not well informed in reality.

Globalist democrats want to fleece America and make its people suffer. They would bring the same policies France has here if they could.

The American Armed Forces are very good at revenue harvesting. WMD's, missile gaps, terror and now the weather, all funding bonanzas!

He in fact did not handle it correctly. There is just plain old common sense in that link referring to how he should have handled it. Coal workers here should be re-educated and brought into the clean energy sector as well.
