Why does Trump seem not being affected by these multi-year treats?

You’ve heard of the famous fable about big elephant walking down the street, with all small street dogs barking at him?

    Exactly.

You are merely stating the obvious.

And Cohen is going to sing like a Canary (on steroids).

Trump can't stop talking about it, getting caught in lie after lie, but you think he is unaffected?

Its sleazy to conspire to set up a dummy corporation and hide the payments. Its even sleazier to get a third party publication to "kill" the story with a phony contract.

And it is the same thing. Directing an employee/flunky to commit a felony is a felony. PERIOD.

I think the SDNY already has their case against Individual 1. Probably an indictment under seal. Maybe that's why they don't call him unindicted co-conspirator anymore. :fingerscrossed:

More likely they may try to see if anyone reaches out to him over the holidays.

Right you are.... this simple report is coming out from the SDNY today, attached to a release on the Cohen status

    SNIP
The Office also announced today that it has previously reached a non-prosecution agreement with AMI, in connection with AMI’s role in making the above-described $150,000 payment before the 2016 presidential election. As a part of the agreement, AMI admitted that it made the $150,000 payment in concert with a candidate’s presidential campaign, and in order to ensure that the woman did not publicize damaging allegations about the candidate before the 2016 presidential election. AMI further admitted that its principal purpose in making the payment was to suppress the woman’s story so as to prevent it from influencing the election.

Notice what they did there?? Same language as used for the Cohen documents... principal purpose....influencing the election.

Bummer... I'd like to see the case of US vs Pecker, but this is a good runner up prize...

Wow. That is pretty huge. I suspected that was what happened, but to see it in writing. Wonder if they will detail the agreement with the Trump Inc money guy.

WOW. Thats a bombshell right there.......that pretty much locks it up as a felony

This is probably why we have been hearing from the Trump legal camp that they cant "indict a sitting president".

    No kidding.

Trump getting "caught in a LIE" is an every minute occurrence.

Cohen is going to sing (again).

paying off a mistress so she can't talk is hardly like a haircut or new clothes

the statute of limitations is 5 years, so in 2020 when Trump loses they can go after Trump for this

He called his lawyer to create a typical non-=disclosure agreement, one he has done many times in the past, to protect his family from embarassment from people, at least one, apparently conned into making up stories about him. The campaign had nothing to do with it, the American people were well aware of the reputation the President had in his younger years.

yeah it was like 12 plus years ago...he was younger...younger years. But frankly, I'm not sold on the idea he did cheat on her with Stormy. He's denied it, a Judge ruled on his side and ordered her to pay his legal fees. Regardless though, it doesn't matter to me, but it was clear when the story broke his wife was quite upset, highlighting why he would have ever discussed a Non-Disclosure with his Attorney, and took his advice in doing one.

Funny, but I have not heard of a typical non disclosure agreement that included a cash payment in exchange.

And now that Pecker and the gang over at National Enquirer has thrown lyin' cheatin' crooked Donnie under the bus, that defense is not likely to fly.
Seems the campaign had EVERYTHING to do with it. Oh Oh.

Really? You should get out more. Not uncommon at all...in fact most contracts I have ever come across has two parties having some sort of bargin for exchange.

The National Enquirer was not part of the campaign, and in fact is a totally seperate, pretty old media outlet. Not sure how Pecker threw him "under the bus" - what did he say?
