It's not about politics, it's about the harsh reality of the social negotiation that is our identity. No one gives a flying #### about your 'irritants', we call things as we seem them, because that's all we can do - since we started living and working in large groups (basically, since we stopped being tribal nomads ... current iterations of which can and do make special allowances for eccentrics, due to their tiny tribe sizes and isolation).
You don't think that asking the world to play along with 7 billion different delusions is potentially disastrous? Wow.
I learned something about this earlier today. The Q refers to genderqueer people who Express a particular gender today and the different one tomorrow.
What bullshit, of course it is about politics. Social negotiation is a political process. Everything here about political agendas, and you Crank are as obsessed as any poster I have read here, with your political agenda. That you refuse to admit it, is hilarious. nobody else here is fooled. There some harsh reality for you.
I guarantee you that if anyone saw this person enter into the women's restroom, they would claim they are lying about being a FtM. The hypocrisy is great with these people. They claim they want to go by what's between the legs when born, but will always judge by looks other than what's between the legs.
Actually Queer includes them all, but most LGBTs don't identify as queer. Anything other than a heterosexual male or female fits under the Queer umbrella.
Nah. Queer is anything other than the norm of heterosexual males and females. Being queer means leading a different sort of life. It's not about the mainstream, profit-margins, patriotism, patriarchy or being assimilated. It's not about executive directors, privilege and elitism. It's about being on the margins, defining ourselves; it's about gender-f--- and secrets, what's beneath the belt and deep inside the heart; it's about the night. Being queer is "grass roots" because we know that everyone of us, every body, every c---, every heart and a-- and d--- is a world of pleasure waiting to be explored. Everyone of us is a world of infinite possibility. https://www.historyisaweapon.com/defcon1/queernation.html Queer is an umbrella term for sexual and gender minorities who are not heterosexual or cisgender. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queer Related to Queer Theory Queer theory is a field of critical theory that emerged in the early 1990s out of the fields of queer studies and women's studies. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queer_theory
I always thought it stood for ‘questioning’ - but I also don’t keep up with it. I have gay friends and a monogamous partner and none of us keep up with it. The A is also argued to be both asexual and allies. I don’t think anyone really knows. Just treat people with respect, I don’t understand what’s so difficult about that for many here.
Sort of the reason the BDSM community didn't bother adding on letters as more kinks came under our umbrella.
Well the last acronym I bothered to learn was LGBTQQAIP lesbian blah blah blah queer questioning asexual/allys intersexed and pansexual. That was a number of years ago though and it seems to change every month.
It’s gotten absurd, I think even most of the hardcore ‘inclusion’ crowd is seeing it as such — their are a few nuts that still don’t believe it is inclusive enough. They won’t be happy until every letter of the alphabet is represented at least twice. The most recent is LGBTTIQQ2SAA is an abbreviation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Transgender, Intersexual, Queer, Questioning, 2S (Two-Spirited) — I have no idea what that is —, Asexual and Allies. I’ve never seen anyone use a P however but I’m sure it’s “pan sexual”. I’ll stick with LGBQ as the T is not an orientation. Or just gay...
Meh, labels. I like it dislike people based on who they are. In the grander scheme of things labels don't really matter. I know when people say LGBT or GLBT who they are talking about. The acronym never rolled off the tongue.
Male and female is not about appearance. So someone has surgery and dresses so they appear female, they are not female. They are just a male with serious mental problems.
So. Plenty of folks who believe in some being they never seen. If you want to talk about mental problems.
Irrelevant. A man can dress up as a woman and convincingly look like a woman, he is still a man. A man can even have surgery to enhance his appearance as a woman, he is still a man but anyone who goes to those extreme lengths to live out a fantasy also has mental health problems.
Relevant. People believe many things . Hurts no one if they keep to themselves. People who belive in something never seen and live to please it have mental problems. Many go to extreme lengths to live out a fantasy. Many go to extreme lengths to force others to live like they think they should .
"Hurts no one if they keep to themselves" Now thats a very different topic. If a man dresses as a woman and even has surgery to indulge his fantasy, then that is his business - until he demands everyone else indulge in his fantasy as well. When he or others demand everyone's children be taught his fantasy is reality, or want the law to punish people who do not indulge in his fantasy, or use the law to encourage his fantasy, then he has not kept it to himself. He is then encroaching on other people and there is going to be a very well justified fight.
Some religions require their members to force the religion on others - I oppose such religions. Its the same with this gender/sexuality issue. Some gender driven people force their gender belief on others - I oppose such people.
Do you hold this to bring true for both those who try to enforce their belief that gender and sex are the same as well as those who try to force their belief that gender and sex are different?
There are millions and millions more people of religions opining to force others to live like they want. I've seen you, spout against gays and push for laws that limit the LGBT people. And I never seen you try to limit gov't from pushing religious view point down society's throats. So, I will take you LGBT concern with a grain of salt. It's peanuts compare to what religions want to do. And the gender/sexuality issue isn't forcing you or anyone, unless you own a business, to do anything. And for a business, the force is simply to not discriminate.
