Passage of the Women’s Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment Act Passage of the Women’s Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment Act came Friday in the House and was overshadowed by the fight over border wall fencing, but was a major victory for Trump who spent hours lobbying for it on Capitol Hill, personally nudging those on the fence to support the plan to steer U.S foreign aid to programs promoting women and women-owned businesses. Another positive result helped by action from the Trump Administration. A result that will get little mention because the NDP's media ministry has no interest in reporting on issues that reflect positively on the Trump Administration. This is a good thing for women. Too bad it appears the left is not interested. Should this new legislation be getting more press?
Agreed. Apparently our enthusiasm is not shared by members of the New Democratic Party who claims to support women rights and issues.
Actually, it's more of a reflection of the supreme incompetence of this buffoon that he managed to bury one piece of actual good news in a blizzard of idiotic self manufactured scandals and fights. It will be interesting to eventually learn the history behind this. You may recall that McConnell wasn't going to put this bill on the floor at all. Kushner and Ivanka wanted it. Dad was too busy watching Shawn Hannity and listening to Limbaugh. But I suspect taht the deal was that McConnell would move Ivanka and Jared's bill if he could settle the budget and go home (forget about this idiotic wall). That, I suspect, was the deal. But Trump never keeps his word. There is no such thing as a Trump deal. He goes back on his word pretty much every time. The man was sued, on average, nearly every third working day for two decades. Banks won't lend on his deals. He has a career long history of cheating his partners and not paying his bills.
LOL Once again you provide every reason to ignore your comments. Why do you work so hard at establishing that standard? There are links you can follow, comments made by the authors of the legislation, etc.. Instead, you just go on your unsubstantiated rants, and then I suspect will attack anyone you perceive as an enemy of your cause.
So is Trump saying women can't do it on their own? Gotta give them special privileges? Yep, sounds like his old democrat ideology breaking out again like his ban on bump stocks.
Why do I feel like I should be supportive of this (go women! I am a woman after all) while at the same time my subconscious is whispering affirmative action........
Establishing a standard? I just made the observation that this bill disappeared from the news cycle in a virtual torrent of largely idiotic nonsense, nearly all of which was caused by Trump himself. I am not alone in that view by any means. As for McConnell sitting on the bill, this was widely reported and not in question. The rest was just a thoery of mine, as I said. But it seem plausible. When the word got out that McConnell was going to bring up the measure, he made no public statements. Instead, he met one on one with the GOP floor. McConnell got something from Trump. Something that Trump almost certainly had no real intention of delivering on (as is his normal pattern).
