Personally I want the "United States of Richard" where I am free to do whatever I want and where everyone else is free to do exactly what I want.
Seems neither side really wants true freedom. If they did, conservatives would mind their own business when it comes to other women's vaginas and liberals would stop with trying to ban certain guns and gun related products. We'd allow pot to be legalized across the nation. We'd allow gambling to be legalized across the nation. We'd allow prostitution to be legalized across the nation.

I believe that the parents should determine at what age their children can responsibly handle guns. Your nanny state can't get the job done. Where exactly do you expect these children to get guns? Are you against child labor laws now? Clearly they would need to purchase them from somewhere, good to see you might actually be a capitalist, but really, think about the children...

I didn't actually say that, try to keep your words in your mouth. I said parents should determine when its appropriate for their children to handle firearms. If you think your kid should take a firearm to first grade, you need to look at your parenting skills or lack thereof. You also presume that rights extend to those under the age of majority. That is not so, so your argument about children with guns really doesn't pass Constitutional muster to begin with. Looks like this whole thread was just a gun hating silly rant, as per the norm...

Explain how a six year old can purchase a gun, then show me an authorized dealer willing to sell to a six year old, then show me the parents that are ok with this and won't take action to keep that kid from taking that gun to school. Show me these things and perhaps then we can get back to your fantasy world. Your simplistic approach to this shows your government dependency attitude. Dealers cannot sell handguns to anyone under 21 18 U.S.C. 922 and cannot sell long guns to anyone under the age of 18 18 U.S.C. 922 (x). So what the OP is proposing is a violation of federal law.
