Trump to address nation regarding the national security crisis on the border

BTW, all Government employees are not libs. I went to a public gun range today (in an area with a lot of Federal employment) and there were so many people shooting and milling around in the parking lot I left. Normally on a weekday there are only a couple of people at this range.

 

Probably they will just bleat "orange man baaaaaad" over and over or they will quote or paraphrase "Low Energy" Bush, i.e., illegal immigrants come to our country as an act of love.

 

My best guess based on if I were to write the speech (in no particular order):

Talk about the harm caused by Trump's shutdown to US citizens and the country as a whole. Talk about their efforts to re-open the agencies which are wholly unrelated to border security. Talk about the ineffectiveness and inefficiency of the wall. And to correct the record for any misrepresentations or lies told by trump during his speech.

 

I don't know where you live, but if you can't see the ever increasing number of illegals you probably are blind, or live in some place like Montana. I understand this is anecdotal, but I know someone who went to a Maryland Social Services office the other day to apply for benefits and he was the only non-latino in a room full of non-English speaking latinos. This **** has to stop.

 

If you want to be lied to....wait for the Leftist Democrat response.

 

I am a Democrat & we are not in disagreement. I favor & support a strong border security system, but I agree with the Democratic conviction that a physical wall would not be very effective a barrier except in specific isolated locations. The best system for border security would be a combination of electronic fencing coupled with video surveillance, and border guards to follow up with any interlopers. Drones could also be used in remote, isolated regions. I believe the Democratic leadership would agree to such a plan if Trump would. But so far, he hasn't, though I know it's been proposed by Democratic leaders to him.

 

Drones? LOL! Yeah, I guess.we could get some High Res photos of drug smugglers that get away before any border patrol can show up.

 

The "harm" done by government being shutdown is nothing compared to the harm done by open borders.

Will Chuck and Nancy flip flop tonight? Maybe we will get a speech from the leader of the Progressives?

Sen. Bernie Sanders, 2007: “I don’t know why we need millions of people to be coming into the country who will work for lower wages than American workers and drives wages down even lower than they are right now.”

Maybe the former DNC pick for President: Hillary Clinton, 2014: “I voted numerous times when I was a senator to spend money to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in and I do think you have to control your borders.”

Maybe even the last Dem President: Barack Obama, 2005: “We simply cannot allow people to pour into the U.S. undocumented, undetected, unchecked, circumventing the people who are waiting patiently, diligently, lawfully to become immigrants in this country.”
