I support Dreamers/DACA, E-Verify, fencing and technology and personnel on the boarder, and keeping birth right citizenship.
Wow! A nearly 1 year old thread, is current again. Last I heard, the Democrats are unwilling to consider the deal. Any updates? Moi
watch this 1958 tv show about a conman named "Trump" who tried to trick some unsuspecting gullible white folks that the end of the world was coming, and the only solution was his expensive wall!!!
Most Americans support DACA. Most Americans oppose being forced to give Trump $5.7 billion for his wall that he repeatedly promised Mexico would pay for. Why not allow the will of the People to prevail?

Why not understand that we could get paid back for it by Mexico by dialing down the amount we give them every year.
I think America should help it's own citizens first and that's where America's taxpayers resources should be allocated. So granting citizenship to outsiders and footing the cost of immigration and mainly illegal immigration is a lose-lose. You should have a DACA database. Those who support it pay a much greater level of tax and those who don't support DACA, pay less tax.
DACA normalization & citizenship is the solid winning majority with American citizens. Give Trump his wall for it, yes.
nah trump won't touch the dreamers, in two years he likely be out of the WH and possible on his way to prison for treason...the dreamers are safe as they are... and they if they want they'll be happily accepted in canada as refugees which would be a big win for Canada, a well educated pool of talent that we didn't have to pay for...
How will your "millions" reimburse Americans for the billions Trump is demanding to seize the private property of Texans and build his "big, beautiful wall." Why would you want to stop taking effective measures that reduce illegal immigration far more effectively than an exorbitant wall that most Americans do not want, when the majority of illegals enter the US legally and overstay visas, not sneak across the border?
I am afraid you are wrong about most Americans, most do want the wall but we can have a wall and do all the other things needed for better security. As far as taking private property, the wall would most likely would take the place of the fence currently in place along the border and not have to use private property.
Please provide empirical data to support your claim. I know of no poll that indicates most Americans wanting Trump's wall that he repeatedly had promised Mexico would pay for. Regarding the federal government seizing the private property of Americans, Trump himself recently articulated his intent concerning the border whose nine Congressmen all oppose his scheme: "... if we can’t make a deal, we take the land and we pay them through a court process which goes actually fairly quickly... But we take the land. Otherwise you could never build anything." Don't have blind faith in government: Meanwhile, most Americans support DACA by a wide margin: (Again, if you have any surveys of Americans that show them opposed to DACA, please provide links to them.)
jgoins is wrong: most Americans oppose the wall. Border congresspersons, all of them, oppose the wall. Americans support DACA solidly.
