He and the Congressional Republicans met with the Congressional Democrats who are willing to try and negotiate a deal and get the government open and they incorporated what they wanted into the agreement. Pelosi can now pass it or choose to keep the government closed.

I think that after mandatory E-Verify, most of the illegals in the US working under fraudulent ID's and Social Security numbers will be outed and lose their jobs. So I don't think "mass deportations" will ever be needed. They either go home or hang around with no legitimate job and get arrested for a couple of identify theft felonies. The real question will be can our justice system handle millions of felons being outed. How are we going to arrest them, process them, and give them all trials? That will be a challenge. The smart move would be for them to just head back to their own countries, but criminals generally are not smart so we may have a major law enforcement issue.

Hopefully they will just read the handwriting on the wall and go home.
