Very true. If evil is in charge of a gov't, all bets are off. And of course non violence demonstrations just get the demonstrators killed and imprisoned for challenging the evil.
Actually it is Trump that always make the election about Trump. The Dems are going to try and make it about healthcare and wealth/ income inequality.
I wonder how many know his real name was Michael King. Was he ashamed of his name or was he a plagiarizer?
He did steal the « I have a dream » speech from another black preacher But king is the official black hero and I have no objection to that
Fear of impeachment ? When the FBI declassified MLK file and it was made public in 2017 I was expecting the toppling of MLK monuments and statues and the renaming of streets and schools that are named after MLK. All of those rumors we would hear about MLK back during the 1960's seem to have been true. MLK was an useful idiot of the Kremlin.
Good question? I guess he was sucking up to the negroes hoping to get their vote in 2020. I have no idea why any Republican would give the time of day to the black establishment. They couldn't get their vote even if Jesus was campaigning with them.
Of course he did. He knew the US was the bad guy in that war. People who travelled a lot were able to learn that. PINKY SHOW : The American War: The U.S. in Vietnam Noam Chomsky - The Vietnam War http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/american-imperialism.371897/ I came across this... Dr. Umar Johnson reveals untold plot to kill MLK ...and was looking for a place to post it. This thread seemed like an ok place. Dr Umar says that King survived the shooting and was killed in the hospital. I have no idea; I'm just posting this so it can be discussed. edit ten minutes later... -------------------------------------------------- Here's a text of the video about Vietnam in case it goes off-line. http://www.pinkyshow.org/projectarchives/videos/the-american-war-the-us-in-vietnam It used to be on YouTube but I couldn't find it there.
This article makes sense. https://www.presstv.com/Detail/2018/01/16/549163/Why-Martin-Luther-King-was-murdered (excerpt) ----------------------------------- “The real reason that they killed King or they felt they had to do it was that at that point Dr. King was about to lead half a million people to a permanent occupation of Washington, D.C., demanding an end to a funding to the military empire, and a transfer of that funding to taking care of Americans especially the poor and dispossessed, and they weren’t going to leave Washington, D.C. until that happened,” the analyst said. ----------------------------------- Back before the arrival of the internet people had to learn the truth by traveling and talking to Americans who travelled. People such as MLK knew the real reasons for the war and his informing large numbers of people was a big problem for the government which wanted to keep people thinking we were the good guys there.
I viewed MLK very favorably in my young days, and even participated in a march for him in Montgomery, Alabama before MLK made another of his speeches there (a very long time ago). I was a teenaged Airman at nearby Maxwell AFB, and the Base Commander had told all of us not to get involved... Oops. Anyway, many years later, I found out (right here in this Forum) that actually, MLK was in favor of Reverse Discrimination against White people (commonly known now as "Affirmative Action"). Now I see him as just another talented guy who had an agenda, who wanted what he wanted, and was willing to advocate whatever was needed to bring it about. If you Google, "MLK and affirmative action" you may be both very surprised and VERY disappointed. I certainly was....
