Looks like the twins Abby and Britt got their first job. Question to Pro-Choicers: Would you have left these twins to die?
I am not there mother or father, and neither are you so what business is it of yours? Truth is I lack the courage and strength to of brought up such children, whilst I deeply admire their parents do you actually think you have the courage and strength their parents have?
OMG....you just don't get "rights for women" , do you? Sure, if that's what SHE chooses to do. OMG....you just don't get "rights for women" , do you? See, women are NOT a separate species from men ( did YOU know that? ) , they have the same rights men have and that shouldn't be changed...
FoxHastings said: ↑ No, Democrats believe we all have rights, even women....and Republicans (Anti-Choicers) do NOT. Ya, we agree if you're referring to Anti-Choicers...
The government has zero to do with the condition of the baby that couldn't live on his/her own. If I were in a condition where I would not have quality of life, I would not want to be resuscitated either. I have a living trust that ensures that my wishes are followed. As acting power of attorney for the baby in question, the mother has the final say and the doctor is responsible for explaining her options. She is under no obligation to follow her doctors instructions. There is no place for the government during these extremely difficult times. Also, they are not deciding whether or not the baby dies; that decision was made by god and they are just deciding whether or not to honor gods will.
Withholding food from a baby is not "a decision made by god". I wonder how many regular babies would die if they were left naked in an air-conditioned hospital on a cold metal table, and not placed into an incubator. I'm not sure that I would consider all of these "natural deaths". Have you ever been inside a hospital before? They typically keep the temperature a bit chilly at 65 to 66 degrees (18-19 °C), and for me at those temperatures I need at least a thin jacket. A tiny little baby would be shivering without a blanket or held close to its mother's body for warmth. https://www.stanfordchildrens.org/en/topic/default?id=warmth-and-temperature-regulation-90-P02425
So you think we are discussing healthy babies? They do not need resuscitation. Using the other extreme, if the newborn would be in extreme pain if not kept in a medically induced coma, is that humane? Isn't that against gods will?
We are discussing defects. And yes, with many of these defects, the baby is healthy. Then there are cases where a baby would be born with a defect that could be easily surgically repaired: C. Everett Koop, M.D., former surgeon general and renowned pediatric surgeon, was asked during a Congressional partial-birth abortion hearing if he had treated children "born with organs outside of their bodies" (omphalocele). Dr. Koop replied, "Oh, yes indeed. I've done that many times. The prognosis usually is good. The first child I ever did, with a huge omphalocele much bigger than her head, went on to develop well and become the head nurse in my intensive care unit many years later." https://nrlc.org/archive/abortion/pba/pbafact11.html
You never answered my question, do you think you have the courage and strength to bring up such a child?
Does the life of the child depend on whether there is someone out there willing to take care of it? Why not start requiring women to abort if they have the type of baby who'd be a difficult sell on the adoption market, if she's not willing to take care of it?
You aren't answering the question. Why not? """"do you think you have the courage and strength to bring up such a child?"""
Answer the question, I have answered yours, and of course it depends on whether someone will look after it, what do you think it is going to march down the supermarket and buy milk when it is born?
