The top 1% have multiple forms of income that fall outside of the federal income tax or fall nicely into one of many loopholes.
I am. Mind you, I wouldnt charge poor people much. But yes. They would have to pay something. No loopholes. Mind you, people on benefits would still likely receive more in benefits than they would pay into the system.
I think it would have to be expected that a percentage would be net beneficiaries, but as long as they are still contributing (less the disabled) I could at least understand.
What does suffering have to do with your right to his property? There is no connection. It's just attempted justification of your lust for stuff at other people's expense
Can the middle-class revival under Trump last? Despite economists’ longstanding laments of a shrinking, “hollowed-out” middle class, Trump’s pledge didn’t seem so quixotic, at least judging by recent history. The vibrant economy, juiced further by the Trump-led tax cuts and federal spending increases, has lifted employment and wages for workers at all levels, including the middle class. The manufacturing, construction and oil industries – traditional middle-class bastions – have enjoyed revivals the past couple of years. And the replacement of many middle-wage workers with technology has slowed. https://www.usatoday.com/story/mone...es-under-trump-but-can-gains-last/2816053002/
I make loads of money, and pay tons in taxes, and donate roughly 10% of my yearly salary to charity. I donate my time to homeless organizations, Veteran organizations. I do MORE than my part. I dont need "free stuff" but I recognize that some people need help. Unlike what you probably believe, I dont think the poor should be left to wither and die.
Because the tax code shouldnt impose a life crushing burden. But you knew that I am sure, and probably just dont really care. I bet your the type of conservative that thinks we should start letting the poor drop dead in the streets from preventable disease they cant afford to treat.
What gives you the right to someone elses property? What do you give in return besides taking up space, consuming resources and filling the sewars with your crap?
Im not rich by any means. But I do well. I just have compassion for my fellow human being. Unlike most conservatives who just seem to want poor people to crawl off into a corner and die.
Oh yes compassionate, and well off, just dying to pay more tax, surrounded by mean, selfish "conservatives". That schtick is old. Nothing entitles anyone to anybody elses stuff. Want services? Share equally in the cost burden with everyone else
