https://globalnews.ca/news/4949732/hamas-tunnel-toxic-gas-egypt-gaza/ Egypt has become the third nation in recent times to use poison gas or neurotoxins. Syria has repeatedly violated the Geneva Convention on the use of poison against its own citizens (sarin, agent 15, chlorine etc.) And Russia of course has used biological weapons to eliminate dissidents and enemies of the state (polonium, ricin, novichok etc..) Syria is thought to have received chemical weapons during the search for Hussein's Iraqi stockpiles, AKA Weapons of Mass Destruction. But Egypt will not face censure for killing Hamas inside tunnels. Israel pointed out that had itself done this there would be world wide censure and UN condemnation.
Source for what? The news about Hamas? The Israeli newspapers are running that story now. Several dead or injured Hamas members, poisoned by the Egyptians.
Sorry, I Googled 'Egypt Hamas gas' and got 3.4 million hits Here's one... https://globalnews.ca/news/4949732/hamas-tunnel-toxic-gas-egypt-gaza/ Two Palestinians were killed and two others injured after Egyptian troops pumped toxic fumes into a smuggling tunnel in the Gaza Strip on Sunday night, according to the Hamas run Interior Ministry of Gaza. One of the victims was a 39-year-old officer with Hamas’ police force who was in the tunnel on a “security mission” to inspect it, the ministry’s information office said. A 28-year-old man was killed in the ensuing rescue mission. Two other security officers were taken to hospital for treatment. The Egyptian military hasn’t commented on the alleged incident.
Wouldn't be a "mistake" if it was Israel. Israel was condemned by the UN last week for causing psychological stress to Gazans by flying drones overhead. No mention of the psychological stress of Hamas tunneling into Israel with the intent to kill or capture Israelis, some Jews pointed out. We had something similar happen here in Australia with the UN last week.
