Does anyone wonder why Donald Trump got elected? Few would argue that the election of Donald Trump was a mass repudiation of the Washington status quo. Washington has taken on a life of its own and it had become clear to the American people that a master plan was well underway to dumb down the population and replace the model of personal liberty that has prevailed since the beginning of the republic with centrally planned government authoritarianism. After eight years of Barack Obama, which was the sock puppetry of identity politics on an industrial scale, the people had seen enough. Obama’s own supporters like former Vice President Joe Biden even described him as a “clean young man” suggesting that most of his skin color were not clean. Another of his boosters, Sen. Harry Reid, praised Obama for having “no negro dialect” suggesting that blacks can’t speak clearly or intelligently. The appalling reality that huge swaths of the American population were already so successfully dumbed down that not only couldn’t they read between the lines of this blatant racism, they couldn’t even read the lines. It completely escaped the brain cells of millions of voters that elite democrats believed African Americans were dirty and couldn’t talk but politically useful to grow government. After watching the US healthcare system virtually destroyed with the affordable Care Act many recalled Obama saying “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor’, “if you like your health insurance you can keep your health insurance”-Period. The “Period” was important, signifying unassailable truth, like a used-car spiel. Eventually it dawned on the people that Obama was a very effective sock puppet but a lousy president and it was a frightening prospect that a legendary miscreant like Hillary Clinton was next in line. The Republicans were worthless and clueless as usual so Trump cleared the rats off the Republican ship before embarking on his campaign The dumb down plan was so deep rooted and widespread in Washington that the elites panicked when Trump actually got elected and showed that the people had gotten smarter. Now national security agencies are corrupted and disorganized as guilty elites try to hide their sedition. The Mueller investigation has failed but the rats won’t leave the Democrat ship; they want to continue sailing it. A Stasi-like rummaging of Trump’s taxes will likely be next. It won’t work; we’re not dumb any more.
Trump was elected because the Kardashians are famous, people spend money on pet rocks, and Bigfoot is actually a "thing".
If Trump were not famous for being famous, he would never have been elected. If Trump didn't have a reality TV show, he would never have been elected. End of story.
The Republicans tried handing the White House to the Democrats on a silver platter by nominating Trump. But the Democrats threw that silver platter right back into the Republicans face by nominating someone as disliked by America as a whole as Trump was. The biggest reason Trump was elected was the laziness of Hillary Clinton. From 1 Sep 2016 through 8 Nov 2016, Hillary let Trump both out work and out campaign her by a whopping 116 campaign visits/stops/appearances/rallies to 71. Hillary didn't even bother to visit Wisconsin which Trump did five times. Michigan wasn't any better, one visit for Hillary, six for Trump. If Hillary didn't have the fire in the belly to run a campaign instead of sitting on her butt, she should never have sought the office. Hillary was ho hum as was her campaign, Trump full of energy and filled his supporters with enthusiasm. fact is when one considers everything from an inept campaign strategy, laziness, jury rigging the primaries in her favor turning off and making angry a lot of potential voters. One has to wonder how she won the popular vote by three million. Hillary was the second least liked major party candidate since FDR, Trump is now the first. Trump owes his election to Hillary. Without her help along with Hillary's total ineptness, the personality of a wet mop, he could have never done it. I'm still weighing the cost benefit analysis on rehabilitating the deranged among us... So far it's not looking optimistic for the elven folk among us ...
Always a great narrative until one opens their eyes enough to realize that Trump was never an anti-establishment candidate. He has not and will not ever drain the swamp. Granted, he's not really a part of the establishment either, but that's mostly because the establishment won't have him to begin with. It's why he's so bitter, he's never been taken seriously in the way he thinks he should be. Once you understand that he's really just a child in need of constant validation while doubly burdened with an equally juvenile intellect, everything he does makes perfect sense. From his constant twitter attention tantrums to his wanting to spend billions of dollars constructing a mostly useless monument in his name, it's all just the antics of a child who wants to be taken seriously but can't ever seem to do anything that warrants it.
I don't think so, because if Trump was really one of them, they wouldn't be obstructing him as much as they are. The queen didn't win the presidency in 2016 and they are still pissed about it.
How did trump win the election? The electoral college as most people didn’t vote for him. The DNC also said screw the voters by nominating Hillary over the wishes of their constituents so they simply stayed home. If you break down the extreme support for trump it is pretty much limited to evangelicals (who lost all credibility), undereducated whites (trump loves stupid people), and the the silent generation (who won’t be around to see the recession he causes).
Trump was elected because: -not an establishment insider -'nationalism, not globalism' -Hillary was the alternative
Interesting how that same situation didn't make Obama into an anti-establishment president. Or Bush II.
Essentially Trump won because Hillary Clinton was one of the worst candidates ever on the campaign trail and because too many liberals were totally ticked off regarding how Hillary and HER corrupt to the core DNC treated Bernie Sanders. It was a perfect storm of screw ups on the Left and Trump slid into home base as a result.
But the "silent Generation" was the "Luckiest Generation" who grew up back when America was still great.
Thing is, the electoral college is the law of the land, and it is how a candidate wins. It's how Lincoln won.
