Trump won the nomination because the democrats and their propaganda machine worked tirelessly to make sure he did. He spent almost nothing on his campaign compared to his competitors. Even he couldn't believe it. he remarked that he could shoot someone on 5th avenue and still be on top. This is because he had the full support of the media, and the blessing of the DNC. They needed Trump to win that nomination because they had, years prior, already anointed HRC to be the successor to BHO... and they knew that she was so corrupt... so bad... so establishment, that she would have no chance in hell of beating anyone other than Trump in the general. They were desperate for Trump to win the nomination, and they got exactly what they wanted. She was so very bad that they had to convince every other democrat with hopes of running for the nomination, other than the geriatric socialist, whom they thought had no chance and had picked at the outset to be her only adversary, to sit this one out on the sidelines and give Hillary her turn. Even then, she was so very bad that they had to torpedo the geriatric socialist to keep him from getting too close. In the end, Bernie was allowed to participate only to give the democrat constituency the illusion of a choice. Trump won because Hillary really was THAT bad.
Summing up, the liberals all seem to agree that trump voters are stupid and they are not Libdom must be a very one dimensional place
But Hilary had such great poll numbers? I don't think she was that bad a candidate but she personified the liberal elite establishment and that's why people rejected her (and she them?). I think one of the my favourite SNL sketches ever; In itself this shows why she lost, Sarah Palin comes across as an idiot but still so much more likeable than Hilary.
The most electric pro Trump clip I saw, maybe, for any politician in any election ever! And as you note, Moore hates Trump, following up that clip stating voting for Trump will feel good," beat.....for a day" and then Moore warns of economic and political disaster and the rise of an authoritarian state in which the left will never be allowed to vote again. He was wrong on all of that. How did Trump win? 1. Allegedly, HRC asked her media allies to prop him up, figuring if he took the Republican nomination, he would be the easiest to beat. He wasn't. 2. Lots of charisma. 3. Playing the media like a fiddle. He would say outrageous things like, "I would bomb the **** out of them", get free media attention and then dial it back and sound more reasonable. 4. HRC is that despicable. 5. Immigration. Ann Coulter would say that Trump was the only Republican that would see this $1K bill lying on the ground and actually pick it up.
There is no doubt that antiestablishmentarianism was a powerful force on both sides in 2016. It still is.
Trump plays to fear.. That's what demagogues do.. Incite the masses even if you have to lie. Its been done before and the outcome is always disastrous.
I don't think you are right about "charisma".. Trump is repulsive and embarrassing.. His audience has to pretend they are stupid.
This is from someone who states he will not vote for Trump, does not support him but bet $1K of his own money that Trump will win 5/23/2016. His channel is titled, "Charisma on Command"
Not anymore. I'm trying not to feel that it is, peculiar, how you left out the most colossal part of Reid's remarks that day/in that very moment you referenced here. When he praised obama's light skin. But I guess including that then might have compelled you to fairly address, racial hierarchy, which sits at the root of this entire Movement. Nonetheless, Trump got elected because Caucasian, Evangelical, descendents of The Mayflower decided that they will no longer stand idly-by, watching, the Dems hand this country over to non-USA citizens plus heterophobes and christianitiphobes, all resembling lightskin Blacks.
Hillary was also famous for being infamous. At least she did have government experience as a Senator and Secretary of State. I did not vote for her.
Many of trump followers are too ignorant to even know who bill mahlers is. Besides that, they are too poor to afford hbo.
Hilary's poor campaign. Trump did not win Hilary just lost. My suggestion try going to all the states at least once. It shows you care.
Hilary would have lost the popular vote to any good candidate due to her negatives and lack of campaigning. That is an opinion of course.
I would rate their positives higher then Trumps at the time. BUT they did not have a solid core of diehard believers to get them through the primaries.
You are aiming too low I’m sure the lying lib pollsters could vomit up a survey with their positives in the high 90’s if they really tried
