I don't know. He built a bad ass bridge over the mississippi, though. It's still standing. I am sure his base had a lot of uneducated people, though. Louisiana was an extremely corrupt state when he was in power. Vices like, drugs, gambling, prostitution and so on. The sum total seems to be that his actions did more harm than good.
The employees paid by the state were also organized into supporting the Kingfish. The teachers are one example that if you did not support Long vocally and monetarily, you did not teach.
