The problem with these test is they present false arguments and false premises such as "The only social responsibility of a company should be to deliver a profit to its shareholders." The profit to the shareholders is not a social responsibility. It's a fiduciary responsibility. And it's not an either or situation. If the company has the funds to engage in "social responsibility" great. Or "Because corporations cannot be trusted to voluntarily protect the environment, they require regulation." You have to agree with the false premise, "Because corporations cannot be trusted to voluntarily protect the environment", in order to answer yes or no they require regulation. Or "Governments should penalise businesses that mislead the public." Misled how? Real fraud? Of course. "And OUR toothpaste will give you the freshest smile of any other brand!" No. Taking into account all the phony questions and false premises. I would have expected more to the lower right. I would luv to see your results 'AZBob', as would others, could you try again to C & P... It kind of has me interested in myself - whether my 'banter' w/ y'all has changed any of my ideological fundaments - since interacting w/ this sordid 'PF' lott...lol ? Supposedly us Millennials are 'amorphous'. Not too sure about myself though; I'll take the 'political compass' again shortly to find out...
Party Pooper... (unless I'm mistaking your sentiment). There is always room to solidify & formulate an ideological basis - none better, perhaps, than grappling with some of the questions on the 'Political Compass', lol...
It was a joke Snoopy asks Charlie brown who does he love most mum or dad, he says he dosn't know so snoopy calls him wishy washy. I was refering to Nonnies middle ground!
Wow... an impressive ideological "polar opposite" of myself... Luv it 'RiaRaeb'...! Fun debate awaits us...
I've taken these types of tests before, but this one sucked. They use leading questions to try to box you in to their train of thought, with no way out. My answer to all their questions would be "it depends"; but of course they don't give you that option. This test is worse than worthless, its misleading as well.
This is my result, which doesn't reflect at all how I actually am on the issues. Other tests I've taken, have put me way to the right, and about half ways down into the libertarian camp. I think this test sort of forces everyone into the middle, whether they are in the middle or not. Except for Spooky, who seems to have figured out how to a get good right-wing result on the test.
Oh yes, I definitely noticed that too, certain questions are pretty biased. The "if economic globalization is inevitable" is also a good false premise, it lets you choose between globalist left and globalist right when I'm against both
Much to my astonishment, my chart showed me to be one small square out of dead center, even though I consider myself to be very Conservative (especially economically). The array of questions themselves, as constructed, told me even on the first page that this "Pace News LTD" website has a definite liberal, Leftist orientation. Well... you get what you pay for. And, fortunately, this 'test' cost me nothing....
The government should chart your political opinion to profile you, and see where the population is at politically. My results:
