The progressive left does not allow for that, either toe their line or your too radical in their opinion.

Welcome to the forum. I think you might like it here. Please look at the rules on the lower right hand side of the page.
Freedom of speech means that the government can't interfere with your speech. It doesn't protect your speech in terms of the actions of other people.
You are obviously don't understand the distinction. There is freedom of speech from the government. There is no freedom of speech from private citizens. If I'm a store owner and I tell my customers Nazi slogans, they can go to another store. The government can't do anything about what I said, but my customers can. Do I not have freedom of speech in that case? I think I do. Based on what you've posted, you think I don't in that case.
Like the lack of argument other than "you're wrong." This is primarily an American site. Our general style of debate is to actually put forth an argument not just say "you're wrong." Please refute my example of the store owner and freedom of speech, or admit you're wrong.
Congratulations on having a much, much lower maternal death rate than the US !!!! Much cheaper baby delivery fees ! Much better parental leave programs! SO family oriented.... I agree with you on the word "amazing"....I guess Americans can't think of any other adjective....
I don't use hyperbole unless it's deserved. And thank you for the sauna; it's your greatest contribution to the world.
Is it also the "American style of debate" to see the words on the page, read them, but lack English comprehension so badly as to not understand what the words mean? I hope not. All that you need to do is to read my statement, read it once again (in the quote) and apply your best efforts and most of all avoid reading what isn't there. My statement holds true. It is you who have interjected some useless explanation against an imagined issue. Either freedom of speech exists .... or it doesn't. Your whole argument is that it exists on paper and therefore it exists.
Hey Finland.. I would love to know what the climate is like there Do the longer summer days help farmers?? I know of at least one crop that would like 15 hour of daylight.. Perhaps it helps Amsterdam??
Now it's +4,2 C 39,2 F (?) (my thermometer) and really wet, snow melting fast now. Daylight is 11h and 4min atm (+5min every day). Maybe longer summer days help farmers, but I'm not farmer so.. can't say much about it. Hiking in north at summer time is really nice because there is 24h daylight - some people like to walk at nights, sun is lower but there is always enough light and it's not too hot. Walking with heavy backpacks in hot weather can be insanely difficult issue.
Don't feel badly, the only multitasking I can do is to brush my teeth while sitting on the toilet. I, too, must compliment you on your excellent command of the English language and welcome you to this forum. My primary interests are Mid East events & history, archeology, World history, firearms, psychology & blacksmithing. I know that blacksmithing is popular in Sweden, how about in Finland? Are there many blacksmiths in Finland who make wrought iron, ornamental gates, sculpture, furniture etc? Thanks & welcome.
Ever see the movie, "Insomnia" with Al Pacino and Hillary Swank. Robin Williams as a bad guy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insomnia_(2002_film) I think it was a Swedish movie first but, I'm sure the American version is better. It's about a southerner trying to sleep when daylight is 24 hours, among other things.
Do people ever go with 24 hour daylight ala Insomnia? Or is it more likely with 24 hour nights? "Not Hardly!", John Wayne Hollywood School movies are paced much better. The music adds to the scene without trying to be a piece of art on its' own becoming noise during a scene. Sadly Hollywood is now too influenced by the preferences of Chinese audiences whose market Hollywood now depends. (That's why no more Richard Gere. The Dalai Lama association, not Red Corner) This is exemplified by longer action scenes and the absence of a humorous quip. The best films of the studio system where literally filming before there was a script. Casablanca for example. I would invest, understanding my investment would probably be a "donation" to a 21st Century studio with a staff who can produce a movie without 3 years of planning, contracts, scheduling conflicts, etc. Today's system lost that creativity associated with deadlines. As sure as SNL ain't as funny as when the writers and performers were on drugs. Moi Hollywood hills, '54-'64
Nope. Darkness can be hard, but we have bright lights (anti depression treatment) for that. Some people need eye covers when it's 24h daylight (only in Lapland).
Methinks because you don't wish to do so. Or, y'could start with Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Nordic Noir. Their perfect, socialist system harboring such Dark Sides.
Films aim at their audiences. What appeals to an American won't necessarily appeal to another country.
The words amazing, great brilliant, fantastic, fabulous are all words of fake western culture. The pretence of everything is "wonderful" life is so "perfect" ... hyped up, a bit like social media. So don't worry too much about it, obviously people in Finland are more "real" When you live in "Americanised countries" for a while you become numb to it... someone says fantastic and you know it's only marginally higher than meh. Anyway, welcome to the forum
"Beware the Finns, for they are a wild and terrible race" Julius Caesar That being said welcome I read in a book by Neal Stephenson (Cryptonomicon) that many ethnic Finns are actually almost Turkish/ic in appearance but have seen Wiki photos that don't look like that at all, what do they generally look like? Have you read any of the sf novels of Emil Petaja?
