If you mean the OP, it’s not ignorant, it’s sparkly nonsense meant to bamdoozle the ignorant. Like writing there were no gas chambers in socialist Nazi Germany, just delousing facilities.

You're actually quite good at posing ridiculous analogies that superficially look relevant when they're not, in order to stump people. But if your chosen major qualification of a corporation is that they are groups of people and therefore should have the rights of people, that can be applied to such a long list of entities that the qualification becomes meaningless.
    Other "groups of people":
    unions
    prisons
    gangs
    schools
    the DMV
    ski clubs
    USPS
    etc
    etc
    etc

Go ahead and single out a couple of those to challenge so we can avoid dealing with the principle.

Given you're not able to respond with mature argument, I'll bid you goodbye! Have a jolly good day huffing and puffing....

Whereas guys like you want to cancel Social Security and turn all the roads back into Turnpikes

Thing is, you also want to end the AntiTrust Laws and return to the Gilded Age, which is why all of Europe views American economic/pols as nucking futs. They actually lived under REAL capitalism, which that is, for about a hundred years. It´s why we have communism and socialism in the first place. We never really had it here, well only for about 40 years, not the grinding century it last for in Europe, and we had other things. like immigration and the Frontier, to soften it, so we don´t have so many bad memories.

But fine, maybe you will get your dream some day and you can return to working 12 hour days, 7 days a week on swing shifts, (to maintain ¨healthy work habits¨) for something like 12 cents a day.
So, you weren´t just being snarky? I stand abashed and apologize then.

A Corporation is not a group of people. It's a legal agreement that allows a group of people to act as if it were a person for certain specific strictly legal purposes. And those do not include things like the right to life, or the right to vote, ... despite the fact that each individual in the group does. And it should not enjoy rights that are only constitutionally guaranteed for people, such as free speech.... again, even though each person in the group does enjoy that right.

A family is a group of people.

I am beginning to wonder if there is such a thing as Socialism or Fascism or Capitalism, but if they aren´t all the same and really separated on the parameter of authoritarianism. Does anyone else think that may be so?

Opposition to Obamacare. affirmative action, to equal pay for women, to equal right for LGBT, ....

I would advice you follow the news. Don't have the time or drive to do all this information legwork for you. Just change the channel from Fox to any real news network and you will learn quite a bit.

Fascinating. Shame you didn't respond to the report and its meaning for the attempt at regime change...

Thats bs. China made loans Venezuela cant pay because the price of oil dropped several years ago, so china takes their oil.

Is this supposed to be a coherent response? I'll ask one more time: provide a critique of the Pilger piece.

It worries me how right wingers are so easily herded by government. Its as if individualism doesn't exist!

At the very least the Progressive/Socialist mantra is coming to the forefront.

You have people like the OP that will try to dress it up as some humanitarian thing, but it is simply Socialism.

It is another example of Toxic Femininity where people are refusing to accept taking responsibility for their actions. It sucks that there are poor people, but demanding that we pay for every single thing for every single person is simply rewarding bad behavior.

It is something I cannot support, we have plenty of programs for the lower classes and if we want to can add more. But paying for everyone's education, when they want to study "gender studies" or "environmental studies" or some other nonsense is just flat out retarded thinking.

    But I digress...

The discussion between Socialism and Capitalism is really a discussion between the young and the experienced, when considered the average. I spoke with a 27 year old grad student that literally had never had a job or balanced a checking account in his life. Speaking to me about how "evil" capitalism is.

Like all other Socialist projects, it will fail and the people will vote against it in the end.
