I heard tonight that the evidence presented by police was tainted and could not be used in a court of law. But either way I'm sure we'll find out over the next few weeks whatever it is that they can tell the public.

 

If that was the case, why would they seal the documents?

There is still the mail fraud the Feds can bring charges for.

 

I doubt it. They are mad at the police for being so public about it. Probably because it's harder for them to justify dropping the charges. Hopefully there will be clarification but I'm not getting from the prosecuters that they want clarification.

i was always under the impression that the grand jury had full jurisdiction and their ruling was final at that stage.

 

Can he be charged under Federal Hate Crimes law? It's double jeopardy but that hasn't stopped them in the past.

I don't think this had anything to do with witnesses. They don't need anyone's testimony to convict him. Too many pictures and physical evidence abounds.

One only needs the truth. Jussie Smollett intentionally filed a false hate crime report, and unlike the collusion accusation against Donald Trump, there is actually hard evidence that proves such as being the case.

Actually, the purpose of my post was to throw Spooky's own words back into his face. Apparently advocating violence is okay when you are a Conservative advocating violence against a non-white person.

They have already given written statements to the police. They could have been subpoenaed and forced to testify.

But this is the norm for hate crime hoaxers. They are not punished but instead lauded for bringing attention to issues which are not actually issues. There is very often no documented instances of what they actually claim in the jurisdictions that they falsely create the hoax. Smollet is not being treated by the justice system in Illinois as an individual but as a member of an oppressed group (in this case 2 groups). That is identity politics. MLK is turning over in his grave.
