the Reason i don't pay that much attention to the right wing is that they resort to fallacy every time we argue specifics.

 

Socialism, Communism, and social democracy look attractive to many average voters when compared to what the "opposition" offers as an alternative - Communism lite, Socialism lite, Social Democracy lite.

A super majority of Americans are now very afraid of Big Government, but there is no significant real opposition to the Big Government model within the ruling political class in America and the West.

 

the right wing loves big government and doesn't know it? Government solves all problems for the right wing.

 

They do in most places that have it, it´s called taxes. The whole idea of universal healthcare is that most of the people paying into it are not getting any benefits right then but thatś how health insurance works, (hell, that´s how taxes in general work, isn´t it ?). If everybody just pays for it themselves as they need it then very few but the very rich can have any medical care at all.

 

Human beings rely on fallacy. Any review of human history proves it. Anyone who thinks they have risen above human error is fooling themselves.

The Left is very attracted to fallacy and error. Surely you know that.

 

The Big Government model is embraced by the leadership of both major political parties in America.

The RW wants government that is big enough to intrude into your wife´s womb but too small to do anything about the resultant child´s asthma

 

Liberals are endorsing murder of American citizens outside the womb who survive an attempted abortion

 

Check out any of the sites that compare American health care costs with other nations having Universal single payer systems. We cost at LEAST 2x more than any of them and some more. Our level of services OTOH is about 37 if memory serves.

My own theory here is that healthcare has become like roads. We used to actually do even our biggest roads ourselves with the turnpikes, but big roads cost well over a million dollars a mile to build nowadays and close to that much to maintain properly. Same thing with health care, you go in for a headache the aspirin won´t cure and find yourself getting an MRI; that machine costs more than your lifetime´s earnings and the tech running it makes more than you ever will anyway. Society has to have infrastructure or there is no society, and health care is part of that infrastructure

 

Government healthcare, like government infrastructure programs are at best boondoggles designed primarily to enrich the corrupt entrenched ruling political class and its minions. Big Government is a deadly disease.

Interesting, but what does it have to do with health care?

If you have no resources and need lifesaving treatments no amount of volunteerism is going to help you. Try telling the mother of a 4 year old with asthma that can only be controlled with expensive medicine that government´s helping her child is a ¨deadly disease¨ and a boondoggle for the rich.

 

RRIIGHHTT , and Planned Parenthood is auctioning off body parts. I hears ya.

Any such ¨citizens¨ who actually ¨survived¨ would have had a very short and painful existence, but that is what you cons want for most all of us anyway.

Government healthcare is at least as bad as every other wasteful corrupt government activity. But given the current political reality it makes perfect sense for ordinary human beings to demand more from existing programs.

RP, proposals to cut them will be punished by voters at the polls. Neither party will ever propose the creation of a healthcare system that consistently provides good healthcare to all productive American workers.

 

The RP fixation of "fiscal responsibility" "balanced budgets" and "tax cuts" is reflexive and IMO, irrational and politically toxic.
But neither party is capable of the kind of novelty that might generate real popular enthusiasm.
Hence Trump, AOC and the surging "Independent" vote.

In the case of any Good federalist, our federal doctrine is our bible for our Body Politic. We must have sufficient Faith to bear True Witness for the Good and not the Bad.

Yep, both the right wing and the left wing are all about control, force, etc. Both want to extract taxes and point guns.

With that said, I recognize the importance of both points of view. Most times, it keeps radicalism from ruling, one over the other, as long as both sides see compromise as something other than defeat.

Listening to thoughtful, serious, very learned and intelligent people from the left and the right is very rewarding, IMO. Trouble is, these days, you more than not get flame throwers, and personal attacks from both sides, unless you can enlist someone like Shapiro from the right and Nader from the left discussing and debating one another. I will even include the Tucker Carlson of today, as I watched him debate Cenk late last year. In that debate Tucker sounded more like an FDR democrat from the old days instead of a right wing conservative. Unrecognized by the modern democrat though. A shame really.

But what we generally get are people like hannity on the right and Maddow on the left.
