You mean like lying about Obamacare or going back on almost all campaign promises?

I totally agree. Synonyms for uncanny: eerie, unnatural, preternatural, supernatural, unearthly, otherworldly, unreal, ghostly, mysterious, strange, abnormal, odd, curious, queer, weird, bizarre, freakish

The GOP's embrace of liberal Trumpism is temporary. Soon, they will regain their sense. I have seen signs of it already.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell had a nice long chat with Trump. He told Trump there is one thing more stupid than talking about health care right now. That would be closing the southern border to legal traffic and essential commerce.

"Let me tell you exactly what my message is: The Republican party will soon be known as the party of health care. You watch." Trump said.

"The Republicans are developing a really great HealthCare Plan with far lower premiums (cost) & deductibles than ObamaCare. Vote will be taken right after the [2020] Election," Trump said.

Trump said he would he.would "close the damn border next week" if Mexico did not do more to stem illegal immigration.

"I don't think we'll ever have to close the border because the penalty of tariffs on cars coming into the United States from Mexico, at 25%, will be massive," Trump said.

Come on, now that is funny, uncanny even.

No doubt GOP leaders are getting mighty tired of this man's incompetence.

Surely you can't feel that all of Trump's policies have been on the liberal side or are incompetent. Tax cuts, reducing burdensome regulation, yet I can not recall a single post of yours that agrees with anything he has done.

Just how intelligent are Trump supporters?

Most likely smarter than people who would post such a silly question.

I just took a look at the threads on the front page.

Whatever you do Trump fans, don't talk about Trump. Don't talk about his decisions, his statements, or his tweets.

Far left totalitarianism :roflol: is okay, so is socialism, guns, the Second Amendment, the black problem, and the NRA. Mythical medicare for all seems to be particularly popular among Trump's fans. It is almost as if his base consists of white supremacists.

    Naw, that cannot be, right?

But anything having to do with Trump is a no-no. I find that interesting. They must be embarrassed of their support for Trump. We know they can't defend him. They ignore criticism of Trump and attack the critic. Cracking jokes and answering with cartoons and fake photos is a popular to response to accurate reports of Trump's activities.

But no mention of the specifics he's looking for in the 'more to stem illegal immigration'. Where are his measurements? How will he know? Talk about an empty threat! He's just talking tough for his minions - and they're LOVING it!

Whereas Democrats would line them up and rip the babies from their wombs and call it healthcare.

The only source for that claim comes from Trump. We no longer can trust anything he says. You haven't learned that yet?

The fact that Mexico did not change any of its policies was reported on several news sources.

In this case, the "solution" is worse than the problem itself. There are around 5 million American jobs that rely on Mexico, and that's just the direct economic impact. If we were to close off the border and "all trade" for a "very long time" the overall impact on Americans would be economically catastrophic

What part of economic long term disaster did you miss from millions of illegals throwing anchor into this country? Pfftt at a short term hiccup at shutting down the border. SHUT IT DOWN.

    I literally lol'd reading this

Yeah, that's never really been a problem for us economically, in fact our economy has been doing rather well. We've seen an increases in illegal immigration when our economy is strong, and a decreases when our economy is weak. Surely we can come up with a solution that isn't a bigger threat than the problem itself. Like creating an immigration system that better correlates with our economic demands

There is a solution. A GIANT physical barrier. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. No need to go to jail because they NEVER GOT IN. :deadhorse:

Not as catastrophic as a 10 yr. old little girl being raped.

Nice to see where your priorities are.

Personally, I will take the economic hit.

It's sad that you care more about money.

Interesting, and I wonder how that prevents people from applying for asylum

Actually, in the same era we saw the biggest increase in illegal immigration, the US's violent crime went through one of its biggest declines

Funny thing about economics, it has a direct impact on public safety

You do realize people apply for asylum by approaching a point of entry, right?

They enter the country, and then apply for protection that would allow for them to remain

People can "apply" from their own embassies and wait it out. We are a nation of laws, there are processes. Simply applying for asylum is BS and you know it. It's a reach around.
