You people don't have rights, so when the state takes away another privilege you are programed to accept it. You folks have no notion of freedom yet feel you have the right to lecture everyone else down the path of oppression, no thanks...
Yes of course, it is better to disarm the law abiding so they become easy prey for the criminals that roam amongst us.
Bad guy tried to shoot me from ambush, but I had the situational awareness to recognize the threat. He missed. I didn't.
Well, that's a stupid law. So, a 200 pound guy attacks an elderly, 100 pound woman with his fists... so she can only defend herself with her fists? Pure idiocy.
And you being stripped of that choice and forced to "do whatever you could with whatever you could get your hands on" is a direct governmental assault against your fundamental right to life.
The NRA is a result of America's gun culture, not the other way around. They make money siding politically with the millions of Americans who will not tolerate further restrictions, and who would likely be making a much bigger deal about the issue if the NRA weren't directing the energy of the movement into the courts. In states where the NRA has failed, like here in WA, we have the majority of the county elected Sheriffs simply refusing to enforce the new state laws that were only ever popular in Seattle anyway. The NRA didn't do that, The People are doing that independent of the NRA. Personally, I see the NRA as more of a buffer or a bandaid between the pro-gun and anti-gun. They are keeping both sides tied up on the issue in court instead of in the street where it could quickly erupt into a war. I don't appreciate lobbyists, and the NRA are lobbyists. But unlike most, they're lobbying for the preservation of The Constitution and The Republic, and they're keeping an explosive situation peaceful. I don't give them money because they're lobbyists, but they're doing more good than harm in the grand scheme. Americans are never going to agree to european style controls, regardless of the NRA. But if the NRA can keep both sides focussed on the legal setting, we might be able to avoid the worst case scenario- a civil war.
Actually you could send money to the NRA as they are not lobbyists, the ILA which was formed by the NRA are lobbyists.
For the simple reason that no one, absolutely no one, can provide a concise, logical, well thought out explanation for why one should not desire such options and abilities.
Well, the interesting thing is with a right, you don’t have to explain why you choose to excersize it.
Ha ha. Sure, I’m an American now...Bounty hunting is legal...Lol In college I hunted for subsistence and ran a licensed nuisance critter eradication business covering 7 rural Counties; thus the bounty hunting. Got me through 8 years of college and multiple seasons of graduate field work. As for defending myself, not something I like to discuss much, except I am still alive.
