On a firearm technicality. Shouldn't that law be ignored like you want immigration laws to be ignored?

Property owners in Dallas County are even more, fed up with property crimes. Why no militia over there?

Anything less than total hatred seems to be what counts as admiration.

Just because the left hasn't latched onto illegal aliens as a target-of-the-year and a scapegoat to funnel all of their frustrations about everything onto does not mean illegal aliens are "admired".

Sometimes it is all it takes. Smart people put the gun down and put their hands in the air as soon as they are aware that law enforcement is approaching. They don't wait to be told what to do, they know what to do.

The rest get their Darwinian dues.

Our own border patrol is against these militia groups, CBP put out an official statement condemning them.

Yet the Border Patrol encourages citizens to report illegal crossings. I doubt the rank and file are against this.

Russia has been interfering in US politics since the 1917 Revolution, lots of liberal Democrats helped them, and two were even executed for treason.

Well of course they're not against citizens reporting illegal crossings, that's not something that interferes with their line of work. You have to consider what these militia groups mean from their perspective, to them having these militias on our border means another external factor that needs to be patrolled. You also have to consider the liability aspect, it is border patrol's job to look out for armed threats at our border, if one of these militia members were identified as a threat and killed by a border patrol agent, it would create all kinds of legal problems for them

But since almost none of that happened, and what happened was they were passing through, the guy used a firearm to impeded their passage. He unlawfully restrained them.

He will get, with the firearm crime, ten to twelve years hard time.

The illegals will get sent back to Old Mexico.

The guy is a stupid ****.

The charge had nothing to do with stopping illegals, it was an old felony charge resulting in his not being able to own a firearm I believe. The rest of his group are perfectly able to carry in the course of their activities, they aren't pointing a gun at the illegals, just telling them to sit down in Spanish. Open carry is legal in NM, you can even carry a AR-15 into the state capital if you want.

Why should this gun law be enforced when you don't think immigration laws should be enforced?

The imaginary crisis that Trump's followers believe in simply because Trump said it was so?

    That crisis?

Should slavery laws have been enforced? If you were around in 1845 and a runaway slave knocked on your door, would you turn him in? Because it was a felony not to.

Obviously you're for open borders, are you also equating non wanting open borders with slavery? Run on that one, Dems.....

There is a problem, but it's not suddenly a crisis. This has been a problem for the last fifty years.

If you knew history, you would know that illegal immigration across our southern border was nearly nonexistent until the middle of the 20th century. You would also know why.

No 'open borders' exist. Anyone who says they do supports Trump and the GOP climbing in bed with the Russians.

I'm not for open borders. That's another straw man argument. I'm for immigration law reformation. When our ancestors came to this country, they didn't have to jump through nearly as many hoops as immigrants today. Your ancestors would have been here illegally by today's standards.

And no, I'm not equating slavery with illegal immigration. I made that point that a law isn't necessarily morally correct. America was founded because people disagreed with certain laws, for instance.
