    Hello,

very simple topic for a complexe question : According to you, what's the purpose of Life ? I put the "L" in capital letter because I'm not speaking of your specific life, but of the concept of life as a whole.

I would say beauty. It's maybe the most noble feeling I know.

The fate of universe is to get colder and colder, and just to see those tiny amount of carbon molecules struggling just to exist even if their fight is already lost is quite beautifull. I suppose that the best thing that could achieve mankind would be to spread life outside of earth.

There is something beautifull in that already lost fight.

The purpose of life is to die in order to become food for the living.

Why does "Life" as per your definition need to have a "purpose"?

The OP would have done better to have defined "purpose" as it relates to "Life" IMO.

To create. I believe we're created in the image of The Creator, to do as He did.

We all define the individual purpose of our lives in large and small ways. Mine is to become better and more than I was every day and hopefully in the whole to be of benefit to those I encounter or love. As far "Life" as a concept I would think the "Purpose" of it is to be alive and eventually die like EVERYTHING that exists, from bugs to stars. Fundamentally there is no need for a purpose for something insignificant and ephemeral....it simply IS.

    To know thyself.

Applies to God too. God creates the Universe to know "him/her/it/self".
There is no day without night. No happiness without suffering. No Eternal without temporary. No Real without Illusion.

Life : Trees, microorganisms, plants, human, animals.
Purpose : it's just the "why" you wonder. Why you still wake up the morning or even bother living this life.

Explain WHY "trees, microorganisms, plants" and "animals" "even bother living this life"?

All living thing's purpose, once started, is to reproduce it's species. Man's purpose is to overthink it.

I don't agree either that life is pain. Pain is for me an inseparable part of life. Like the heart, natural or natural, is an inseperable part of the human body but isn't the human body as a whole.

    The part isn't the whole.

What is the chief end of man? The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Westminster Shorter Catechism

There are thousands of the God critters. Which specific one, by name, is man supposed to glorify and enjoy?

What is the Meaning of Life:

To understand and appreciate the beauty in everything and every person around you, the interconnected design of all elements in harmony with the greater whole, and the love and good purpose in everything in creation.

There is only one true God, who is revealed in the Bible. True, there are some demonic impersonators out there.....

The problem is that most who follow another version say the same damn thing, so none of you are taken seriously by people who think.

When you find an alternative that fulfilled prophecy, did miracles, and rose from the dead, and that millions of people today claim to have a personal relationship with, let me know.

When you find some small measure of actual evidence beyond a book that any of that occurred.....let me know.

There are libraries written on that subject. Your mind is made up, some of those who saw the miracles didn't believe, so why should I spend time on you?

Ah...so your evidence is Books written about a book that was written and rewritten before other people edited it so a new version could be printed before other people wrote their own versions?
