I did. Thanks for the unnecessary reminder. Still doesn't change the progeny of PP being the delivered vision of ms Sanger... And yes, everyone has the same right to abortion in this country. That wasn't ever disputed. The observation though is that abortion still remains the number one cause of death in the AA community. Does that fact not shock you? <Rule 3>
No, it doesn't and there is no proof it does. Why would it shock me? As I said, if every woman who wants an abortion gets one there is no problem. <Reply to Deleted>
I await the day when we have time travel technology and can ask the future child who would be aborted whether they are okay with the mother's decision she made for them.
Oh, I am so not wounded by your childish attempt at a lame insult...….Thank you for showing you have no real argument
In other words, even if we could ask the future person who doesn't want to be aborted, you would still think that would make absolutely no difference.
It can be for some. You make pregnancy and childbirth sound as if they're a panacea for well being...and they aren't but it can be for some since all women are different.
That's why any Abortion law should be nuanced and take into account all women, with different circumstances.
Ive never thought of pregnancy from consensual sex as punishment. Its just a potential outcome of 2 peoples actions. Two consenting adults should know this. lol Rape and incest obviously isnt. Both of these were forced and carries long term trauma. Women should always have a choice under these circumstances.
...because it is a very traumatic event. Forcing a woman to carry her rapists baby full term is like violating her all over again. Some women might want to, but it should be a choice.
FoxHastings said: ↑ HOW is an abortion for rape or incest different from an abortion due to consensual sex??? It isn't. The procedure and outcome are exactly the same. Saying women who are raped should be allowed an abortion but not women who had consensual sex looks like somebody wants to punish women for having consensual sex... Me neither...and I never said I did. REREAD my post you quoted. NOT allowing abortion for an unwanted pregnancy BECAUSE it was due to consensual sex IS punishing a woman for having consensual sex WHEN women who got pregnant due to NONconsensual sex are allowed to have an abortion. . What don't you get about that FACT that abortion due to rape is EXACTLY the SAME thing as abortion due to consensual sex...the procedure and outcome are the SAME. SO WHY would the raped woman be allowed to kill that "innocent life" but the woman who had consensual sex can't. That is punishing the woman for having consensual sex by FORCING her to gestate.
no sh*t sherlock. so the act creating it shouldnt be taken lightly. Teaching responsibility isnt punishment.
Its my interpretation of all these abortions conversations. You have claimed pregnancy can be a punishment.
I did NOT say " teaching responsibility" is punishment, DID I ? And YES, if pregnancy is FORCED on a woman it is a PUNISHMENT. IF only women who got pregnant by consensual sex are forbidden to have abortions and raped women aren't then it is a PUNISHMENT. Why do you object to abortion? Can you answer THAT question?
