1) not the power to violate the founding principles, constitution and rule of law - and my comments are related to Republicanism and how conservatism is violating those principles = what republicanism is about as opposed to what conservatism has become. 2) What they are doing in Georgia violates the principles of republicanism.
No, that's the one forced-birth fetishists and traitorous secessionists use. Rational people who support choice and bodily autonomy use the 14th Amendment and the Supremacy Clause for this issue.
Are you saying Jon Oliver's statistics are false? I believe his source is Gallup also here's father statistics "Thinking more generally, do you think abortion should generally be legal or generally illegal during each of the following stages of pregnancy. I do believe too many men fall for women that are not worth their time. As the song says, "It's hard to say no when she's ready to go". This all needs challenged. That's what is happening. The arguments from supporters are not very strong. You'll have to explain how they figured that into the mix. I have not understood it. Yep, bankrupt, crap on the streets, more homeless than any other state in the union, sanctuary cities with illegals killing citizens, and no one gives a damn as long as they have their drugs and deviant sex to keep them happy. Forgot about the cost of births from these illegals who know they can come there and have an anchor baby. On average, it's 70K each. Where is equal treatment under the law? You are violating the Constitution with every breath... practically.
If I need a new heart or kidney I'm heading to Alabama ……..I'll point at a healthy young pregnant woman and say, "I'll take hers!" Because women in Alabama now have NO say in what happens to their bodies they are now all "donors".....and it'll be FREE!
OH?! They held up for 50 years....let's see your Grand Argument for taking away women's right to their own bodies.. WHERE is it??? Haven't seen it for 50 years!!!!
Well you basically said that it's up to you if you rape or not because "god" gave you free will. And apparently you may not have an abortion because women weren't given a free will. How it aint so that when a woman has an abortion, that it can not be out of her free own free will, her free will with what she does with her womb, and it is something between her and her "god" ... I dunno.
The really stupid thing about all this is that we have historical proof that anti-abortion laws in this country DO NOT work - yet here we are again, attempting to do the stupid all over again. Read the Justices' opinions on Roe V. Wade. They weren't arguing that they WANTED abortions. They were pointing out how ineffective and how arbitrary the laws were being applied. The laws did little to stop abortion. They just sent it underground for the poor and those with means simply went on "vacations". The laws unnecessarily put women at risk and decreased the number of doctors available to preform medically necessary abortions. And policing anti-abortion laws would be incredibly invasive to rights of privacy. The only way to tell if a woman has had an abortion as opposed to a miscarriage is an invasive pelvic exam. The are laws also ripe for abuse. All a pissed off ex-husband has to do to ruin an ex-wife's life is claim she had an abortion instead of a miscarriage. Let's not repeat the stupid.
I am anti-abortion. Pro-life for the unborn child. Non-sequitur but if you want to propose a ban on abortion for women who can support the child and only allow for those who cannot go ahead. I am all for increasing enforcement for child support having raised and adopted two children whose father refused to pay. Spare me the diversions. Very now how about you?
Republican politicians nationally are loathe to be put in the untenable position of defending this cruel, extremist, maximal statist legislation. Senate Republicans running away from Alabama abortion law The prospect of forcing a 12-year-old victim to carry the product of an Alabama rapist to term is too repugnant for even the most fanatical supporter of bureaucratic womb control to stomach. THE SELF-APPOINTED WOMBMASTERS OF ALABAMA
I am very sure that they are aware that they can get pregnant when a man forces himself inside of them, even if there are Congressmen who believe that the woman's body can shut down a rapist.
It is a medical procedure. One that can be performed safely and in a medical setting or in a backyard alley. Banning abortions will only ensure that the later becomes much, much more likely.
If you need to believe that the deafening silence coming from Republicans nationally indicates they "don't get it", you can pretend they are all speechless with enthusiasm, I suppose.
