    I think you mean "pseudo-science"

    pseu·do·sci·ence
    /ˌso͞odōˈsīəns/
    1. a collection of beliefs or practices mistakenly regarded as being based on scientific method.

Sure, like you know one when you see one.
You're under the impression the AGW hypothesis is that humans have an unspecified effect on things?
Yeah, that was the title of a book that made a ton of apocalyptic predictions that came to nothing. What's your point?

Try saying that to the people of Flint, Michigan. Or the people in Sacramento, California facing a water drought. Climate change is real, what degree man contributes to it is unknown and a carbon tax isn't solving ****, but I think we can take reasonable steps.

Perhaps intellectually dishonest isn't the operative word here. Perhaps extreme ignorance. You see you are quite incorrect in calling spring and summer the global warming season. During the spring and summer atmospheric carbon is absorbed by plants, in order to grow. It is in the fall, when the leaves are falling from trees and deteriating that carbon is rereleased into the atmosphere when the greatest amount of warming occurs. It isn't so much that the earth is getting warmer, as it is freezing less. Winter comes a little later.

Guess which group accounts for just every global warming denier? Evangelicals. Surprise, surprise. They are also the core of Trump's base.

Why not study some very important events that are not well known by laymen.

There once was a huge natural earth dam left behind by melting glaciers. As the pressure mounted, as i recall in Montana or some of the Dakotas, the dam burst. and flooded all that below the natural dam. Climate changed.

I have other instances. See this marvelous valley? Melting glaciers produced it. So of course climate changed. I show you yosemite from the air.

What do you notice about Yosemite Valley? First direct your eyes at the canyon shaped like a enormous "U. See the smooth rock faces? The Glacier came, carved and went away. It later was renewed by a new glacier and that carved and vanished. Next came the final glacier that also carved and vanished.

What is our chance it won't come back?

A certain segment of the population doesn't want to know, possibly can't know. Quite a bit of overlap with the crowd that has problems accepting evolution, or the fact that Trump obstructed justice.

In the early days of the denial movement they used the argument that God would never let us destroy the earth. In the vein of Intelligent Design science, they have even come up the equally silly denial science. Ever so often a denier will post a graph, supposedly by NASA, NOAA, or another such organization, and claim it disproves global warming. And then when I compare it to the original, it has been obviously altered. At some level, the denial movement knows that it is a fraud.

How does climate resemble evolution? If Trump obstructed justice, you democrats will lock him up.
So when does his trial commence?

We do not have to prove lack of man caused global warming. You have to prove man controls climate.

As to place of birth, this much I do know Kenya held him as a citizen until he reached the age of 23. now are they doing to deny his father was born and raised in Kenya and has as much right to claim him as a citizen as did his mom from the midwest of the USA.

We're not denying that climate is changing, it has, it does, it will. The earth has had umpteen ice ages over it's 4.54bn year life. The happy clappers claim man is making climate change, that's the nonsense part.

I don't know about you, but I took charge of climate thanks to Al Gore and I am making earth climate warmer. I will let you know when I stop warming Earth. :clapping:

Perhaps you never heard how we are having deluges of rain. Perhaps you have not heard we have record snow in the mountains.
Perhaps you think we are hot. But we are cold. We had the Bay to Breakers run today in rain. Universities cancelled graduation ceremonies or at last the Democrats actually allowed umbrellas at the schools. That is right Democrats allowed Umbrellas in the downpour.

I thought the roof was going to be beaten off earlier today by the heavy rains.

This might come as a surprise, but celestial bodies have life cycles. The issue is whether humans are accelerating the natural phenomenon. I'm skeptical, largely because historically, the atmospheric carbon content fluxuated wildly without human influence. Alarmists predicting catastrophe in the mere span of a decade, or even a century are idiots. By the graph 2 things are pretty clear. The CO2 peaks and valleys are consistent. Millennia separate the highs and lows. Presently, the earth is at the peak of it's natural cycle that began roughly 15,000 years ago. Notice the "steepness" of the CO2 spikes. The dramatic peaks are achieved in a relatively short span. The graph was created by the NOAA NCEI climatology program 2006 using polar ice core atmospheric carbon data.

Trump suffers from a very severe case of the Dunning-Kruger effect. In almost everything he speaks about.

And you genuinely think he knows more about climate than the people who have made a career of studying it?
