Take a breath now. Okay. Better. I offer a biological means for Post Vaccination Autism that fits. Just as Watson and Crick did for DNA doing no original Science. Just use the pieces of the puzzle out there and fit them together. My pharmacist a more intellectual guy then most pharmacist never believed in post vaccination autism until son #4 of 5 got it from his MMR. POST VACCINATION AUTISM HAPPENS. Let's deal with it and stop the denial. The means I propose, yet unstudied, takes into account all known science. Like why unvaccinated kids may get autism and why the incidence has increased with the number of vaccines. Either you get it and disagree (how so?) or you are "blocking". Of course if vaccination is a matter of Science blocking happens. I do not wish to disturb anyone's religion or deep faith. If you must respond, please try digest the science I offer above. Gracias
You haven't shown any science. You make claims that could just as easily be the result of undiagnosed autism before the vaccination. Post a SCIENTIFIC study that shows a direct correlation between autism and vaccinations. You can't. Because there is no science to back the claim. Just anecdotal stories.
And you have not studied the mechanism for autism proposed and addressed that. Denial of post vaccination autism is not the answer to winning people's trust. The Science you seek is suppressed as certainly as science contrary to global warming. Those that give grants do not want it studied. And lots of backing from industry to create obfuscating science as with drug studies. @Daniel Light My guess is you have not had a biology course since high school. Certainly nothing at the university level. Am I wrong? Address the mechanism of autism I offer above of just deny and have the last word between us.
The Science you seek is suppressed as certainly as science contrary to global warming. Those that give grants do not want it studied. And lots of backing from industry to create obfuscating science as with drug studies. Do YOU know a parent who witnessed their child go bonkers hours or a few days after a vaccination? I referenced my pharmacist above. Please read. A G-B Syndrome hypothesis fits all observations I know of. Why do you suppose it has not been studied? Yup! Now go waltz with Matilda. @Sallyally please help one of yours through the concepts.
That level of biology is out of my league. I’m not an anti vaxxer but I think this is what he thinks. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5373490/
Antivaxers are the flat earthers of medicine. But of course just like vaccinations the governments of the world are suppressing the science on how flat the Earth truly is.
No mechanism has been seriously proposed. Some people took a very vague correlation between increased vaccination rates and autism diagnosis rates along with the coincidence that autism is generally diagnosed around the same age certain vaccines are given and jumped to conclusions. No detailed patterns have been established (remember there are lots of different types of vaccine and autism is a wide range of different disorders) and no technical mechanism demonstrated which could connect any or all of the two. I’m certainly not denying that there could be some kind of relation but simply asserting it to be the case is no better than simply denying it. Maybe if the people obsessing over vaccines instead put their effort in to studying and understand autism in more general terms, they might help better understand what does cause it, regardless of whether that involves vaccination in some manner or not.
Mercury was seriously proposed. Mercury did not explain why unvaccinated kids may be autistic too. The mechanism Moi proposes is about an immune response going "crazy" whether by natural infection or induced by a vaccine initiated immune response. Guallain Barre Syndrome linked above. Dear All Please where doesn't a G-B Hypothesis fit? That is Moi's question to y'all.
I didn’t ask about speculative hypotheses based on perceived correlations though, I specifically asked about mechanisms – technical descriptions of the proposed bio-chemical interactions involved. Lots of people have grabbed hypotheses and run with them (for various apparent motivations) but I’ve not seen them take the next step in the scientific process. Again, instead of throwing out speculation and unfounded accusations, wouldn’t the time and effort of the people making these claims be better invested in supporting more research in the autism in general?
@HonestJoe My aren't we being semantic. Hypothesis is a form of speculation if not the same. It is taught as the first step in a scientific study. How about it. Rip the G-B Syndrome Hypothesis / Speculation apart via its' concepts. No one here has done that at the nuts and bolts level. Oh, and @HonestJoe was wrong about mercury as a serious consideration. Si? Gimmie a "like" for that correction at least.
I voted that there must be 'a third possibility'. It is a very complicated subject. Prior to 1976, I blindly took any and all vaccines without question. In public schools, you simply got your 'shots'... very routine. In the military, you were ordered to get your 'shots', and there was no argument about it. Then in 1976, they came out with the "Swine Flu" vaccine and, for me, everything changed! People died because of this, and many, many more experienced paralysis in various parts of their bodies for varying lengths of time. My right thumb had no feeling for almost six months after I was injected with the Swine Flu vaccine, although I was able to use my thumb... I was lucky! Now, I will accept vaccination of some specific kinds of vaccines, like the vaccine for pneumonia (which has an excellent track record), but since 1976, I have never had a "FLU" shot, and I never will! Oh, BTW, I haven't had the "flu" since the 1970's, either! I've had numerous doctors warn me that, as an 'old guy', it is absolutely crucial that I get a "FLU" shot, but I have staunchly refused! There was even one situation in 2011 where a doctor was acting like he was going to inject that sh!t in me whether I wanted it or not, and I really got ugly about it and refused in very harsh terms (I've never seen that doctor again). So, some vaccines I'll accept... but a "FLU" vaccine? Oh, HELL NO!
Would it be accurate to say that you're not really all that concerned with communicable disease then?
Because a mask and gloves would drastically reduce your risk of getting a disease from a stranger. Wouldn't someone concerned about infection take this extra, relatively easy and cheap precaution?
I'm not concerned about infection so gloves and a mask are irrelevant for me. I support vaccinations, I have all mine. I would suggest those who are against vaccinations to go and live in Africa, they would soon change their mind.
I did not know. But it changes nothing now because that was 70 years ago when vaccination science was still early days.
