Your statement is not only false (a lie). It is the opposite of true. Antarctic and Arctic sea-ice coverage are both, as of yesterday, at record lows.

Believing scientific consensus makes a person thoughtful, but approaching a scientific issue from an ideological standpoint is sheepish.

Believing scientific consensus is what everyone does when they use their cell phone, go to their doctor or drive their car or anyone of the thousands of things they do in their lifetime, all determined by scientific consensus. That one political group in the entire free world chooses to side with the efforts of the fossil fuel industry in sowing doubt, means they are wrong and know it.
There has been no other means in the history of mankind that has been as reliable as scientific consensus. Just being “ thoughtful” is not something you do when the quality of life on earth is at stake.
