    How?

Your use of the word "they" is unclear. Who is doing what for whom?

If you are an adult, working for minimum wage, you made some pretty sh-tty decisions in your life.

    Get real.
The management can lower their own wages and work harder.
We all know that they make astronomical amounts of money,
for bossing around a couple of people working near minimum wage.

For someone who has never been in the workforce you sure pretend a lot.
Businesses don't all make money, and labor costs are a prime factor.

the only way to fix this is for the government to slow foreign outsourcing and foreign imports

and in the future AI may have an effect too

or we embrace socialism... those are the choices

Ah... a personal attack... for telling the truth that managers make a bloody fortune for bossing as good as minimum wage people around. Them folks can cut their own costs to make the company work. Good lord, them CEO's of banks were even getting a bonus when their company was going bankrupt. The insanity of it all. A CEO aint no owner,.. it's just a person on the payroll, champ.

As I said, you are unfamiliar with the workforce.
    I will help you though.
Small businesses are a far greater percentage of employers, than large corps.
and wage increases can drastically affect them.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- You probably cost your boss a lot more than you think you do.

For Jim Garland, who owns a corporate aircraft cleaning and support services company, a $14 per hour worker has a true cost of $19.63 per hour, or about 40% more than base pay. This so-called "loaded rate" includes fixed expenses -- federal and state taxes, health insurance, workman's compensation, uniforms, and paid time off -- along with soft costs like the time spent training a new hire.

It's actually a 50/50 proposition. It should never be one-sided.

    That's not fair.

There are so many factors involved that it takes an honest person to tabulate the problem.

How do you like my gibberish?

    Not very good,
while all of the factors vary from company to company, there is an extra payment that cannot be avoided.
It costs the company more than what the wage represents.

Ah... more personal attacks. Why are you defending a bunch of multi millionaire CEO's, who are just on the pay roll "earning" their bonuses even when the company goes bust?
When the owner(s) make a shitty decision, than the company should just go bust, instead of demanding the people they employ must pay for it. The capitalistic world is not a charity case.

You are speaking like a charity case, someone on entitlements.
Getting handouts, for not doing anything.
I could be wrong, but personally I doubt it.
You are not familiar with the workplace, relying on personal opinion rather than hands on knowledge.
Just because you may own a company, does not mean you are rolling in dough.

    There is nothing to counter,
you are speaking of a small percentage of the workforce pretending it is the whole thing.
This is where it gives you away as to your work experience.

Besides noting that CEO's gets on earning their bonus for an alleged job well done, while the company was going under.
Besides noting that managers who make bad calls, should get fired instead of making other people pay up for it.
Besides noting that the capitalistic world is not a charity case for companies who can't make a profit.

You are obviously a waste of time, with no knowledge of the workplace.
    Good day

If it upsets you, stop the taxes, stop the spending, and fight to set the mind free from the chains of socialism.

Minimum wage is supposed to be for someone just entering the workforce. Its not intended to provide for a family ffs and you're not supposed to still be working a min wage job 6 years later.
