Predictions I've heard: Bran becomes king after Jon kills Dany, takes the throne, and then abdicates. Gendry takes the throne now that he is the legitimate heir of Robert Arya takes the throne wearing the face of someone else. A feminist collective council takes charge and begins mass importation to increase diversity.
One of these days I'll have to get around to checking this out. I tried to watch the first episode but got bored quickly. Dunno. I'll give it another try. I didn't like the Big Bang Theory at first either. Then I grew to love it. I tend to not like anything that starts with a bunch of violence.
Big Bang is terribly funny, the girls are really fun to look and the characters are engaging, but I just can't stand the show itself for some reason. Thrones is well written and Martin seems one of the very few writers of this kind of stuff who seems to have some sort of actual theme he is trying to develop, though I can't really say what that is, even now.
You nailed with a Valyrian Steel Dagger, congratulations. I was really hoping we'd see a White Walker watching as they walked into the Northern Forest at the end, but no, it 's over.
OP Although I've read about it, and seen snatches on the Tube, I've never watched, nor want to, Game of Thrones; I hate team sports; and I don't possess nor want to possess a mobile phone. Sometimes I feel excluded from the human race.
That's OK. It was a good TV show, but now days, there is a lot of good TV thanks to all of the platforms available. This show became a "watercooler" show only because it was on HBO. If this show had run on basic cable, it would have been cancelled after one season and the same women crying over Dany's death would have had nothing but contempt for the nerd dudes who watched the show. In other words, the popularity of the show was based almost entirely on virtue signalling, not on the quality of the show.
