So..... Trump has dropped the ball when it comes to China https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-05...states-lowy-asia-pacific-power-index/11157362 Withdrawal from the Transpacific Partnership has to be a factor in this shift in the balance of power
It certainly was. We announced that was coming the second he announced withdrawal from the TPP. Everybody saw it coming except him. Even Republicans. But they just care more for their re-election than for their country.
We are likely to be the victims of this unfortunately - and this is ONE reason why I think Trump is the most dysfunctional excuse for a president that could have possibly been elected
I think one of the biggest issues with Trump supporters is that they have no idea what good management actually is. The very best managers look at the total picture - they look for connections, relations, interactions and work out where to put the right amount of pressure to effect the best outcome. Having an agreement for economic support among transpacific nations would have pulled Chinas teeth in a big way as they are flexing more an more muscle in the Asian Pacific region https://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-05-14/china-attempts-global-dominance-with-one-belt-one/8522974
Well with Trump cozying up with Kim in front of our major allies of S Korea and Japan, this is excpected !!!!!
True. Trump has no idea what he is doing on Trade (or anything else). Trump is thoroughly unqualified for his position. Still, to his "fans" he is a God-Emperor who can do no wrong. :smh:
For the most part his “fans” are on a par with his intellectual abilities and knowledge base. This is why we have not seen one Trump supporter on this thread so far. I am unsure though of whether it is because they think Trump has dealt with China through tariffs, whether they just have not excuses for Trump on this or whether they, like Trump think that the world ends at the American coastline
Tariffs will increase the gap in favor of the US. China needs the US market more than the US needs Chinese goods. China has been growing steadily for three decades now, to suddenly attribute anything on Trump is disingenuous at best. Go on with your liberal circle jerk though...
I love when leftists talk about how smart they are and how Trump supporters are so dumb. When did China become the worlds #2 in GDP, then extend itself at breakneck speed? 2010. But sure, the failed policies towards China since the 70's, those are Trump's fault. Why doesn't Australia go fix it?
I see the moron has not only irrevocably harmed his own country, but helped one of the world's nastiest little dictators as well. From the link: North Korea's Kim Jong-un the bigger winner in power stakes The country to experience the most significant increase in power over the last 12 months has been North Korea, albeit starting from a low base. "That reflects a very successful year for Kim Jong-un. His status has been elevated on the world stage with the summit diplomacy and his treatment as an equal counterpart to Donald Trump." ...
