You can easily find articles, by people with no medical qualifications and who have not met (never mind examine) him, claiming that the President is mentally ill. What in the world is going on here? Has politics become so important that we have to resort to such defamation of our rivals?
If I could have had some 'mental illness' that enabled me to increase my net worth by a factor of TWENTY-SIX TIMES during my working lifetime, I would have been grateful for it. Donald Trump took $120 million that his father gave him and created a net worth which is report by Forbes to be $3.1 billion. I could have taken that $120 million, invested in Index Funds and have that $3 billion ... without having to bankrupt sub-contractors and con Trump University students in the process. Trump is a self-admitted narcissist - and NPD is a mental illness.
He claims the contractors' work was unsatisfactory. Do you know them? Did you see the work? Are you.not predisposed to believe every bad thing you hear about Trump? Personally I wouldn't have the guts to rip off a New York subcontractor. They are connected. As for your index funds, that's possible, I suppose, but how many jobs would not have created any jobs in the process? I'd say about zero. Trump has created over 20,000, with 500 businesses making up his conglomerate. https://money.cnn.com/2015/09/03/news/economy/donald-trump-jobs-created/ Let's give credit where due. Fair enough?
Some random psychologist: The term narcissist gets thrown around loosely, but it’s important to remember that there is a difference between a narcissist and narcissistic personality disorder, NPD is mental illness while narcissism is an adjective to describe someone who exhibits egotistical and selfish behavior. Which is Trump? The former or the latter? Are you qualified to distinguish the two in a person you've never talked to? Based on what ?
60,000 health professionals https://www.psychologytoday.com/au/blog/the-time-cure/201709/the-dangerous-case-donald-trump There is no doubt that he exhibits characteristics of narcissistic disorder
Actually, I have talked to him twice, at Mar-a-Lago before he was President. But that is neither here nor there. What we do have is 50 years of public history on Trump and plenty of correspondence that indicates certain personality traits. Nobody disagrees that he is a Narcissist. Even Trump admits he is a narcissist. Is it at pathological levels? He should be examined to see.
So does everyone else to some extent. How many of these 60,000 examined, orn even talked to, the President? You want to be diagnosed this way next time you're feeling sick?
I do not think Trump is mentally Ill......I do think he is rather ignorant though and does not want to change it in any way. My ONE(1) requirement for our President has always been that he must be smarter than I am....he clearly fails in this.
It is here or there. You've outed yourself as a 1 percenter. As a mere 4 percenter, I'm actually jealous.
If 60,000 mental health professionals looked over my posts and came to the conclusion that I was in some way disturbed ... I wouldn't just dismiss it out of hand because they hadn't personally met me. Would you just dismiss them or would you want further investigation?
I do not know and feel the various Intelligence Quotient tests are a very poor measure in the first place.
No, I'm a contractor who works with numerous 1 percenters. And I've been around enough of them to realize their lives aren't that great other than the toys they own are fun.
Don't be ridiculous. He occasionally misspeaks (line forms in the rear) but rarely. In any event "Schizophasia or word salad is language that is confused and often repetitious, symptomatic of various mental illnesses. It is usually associated with a manic presentation of bipolar affective disorder and othersymptoms of serious mental illnesses, such as psychosis, including schizophrenia." No fair minded person believes he is mentally ill. I see. So we don't really have any way to test your interesting claim, do we?
Trump seems pretty happy to me. Compare Bernie and Elizabeth Warren. Did Trump strike you as mentally I'll when you met? Why would anyone sign a contract with a mentally ill person?
Sure, Daniel... you're some kind of financial paragon (all bow). But the truth is that most people would have taken that 120 million and simply kicked-back, living an easy, luxurious life -- doing nothing! Or, worse, they'd have gotten the idea that they, too, were financial paragons and made one huge, bad investment after another, blowing the whole thing! Lots of them did that during the 2008 "Great Recession", by being venal, corrupt, myopic, and STOOPID.... Human history is peppered with "woulda, coulda, shoulda". But, net worth is net worth -- and where personal finances are concerned, everything else is window-dressing....
Contractors forgive the very rich for some really questionable character flaws because they count on the money coming from the rich to pay their bills. Does that mean they would vote for them as President? No.
I don't dispute that the president has character flaws. So do I. Don't you? Anyway I am asking if he is mentally ill.
Folks said similar things about Obama, can you point me to a few of your posts on that in order to confirm your consistency on such matters? Or did you not believe such things back then?
