I don't see how someone getting death threats via phone is equivalent to people going to a vigil of a mass murder and telling the people who survived that all of them deserve also to be executed at this vigil.

It seems to be a very different act of aggression.

 

I could just post the videos that are all over YouTube of these nasty folks expressing their hatred and violent intent but I'm sure you have already seen some of it. I do not understand why you would defend this but, that is your right. You get to choose who you are counted amongst and associate with....but everyone else gets to see it and react.

As to Govt’ run programs running up costs you couldn’t be more wrong when it comes to nations such as Australia. Take our pharmaceutical benefits scheme. The leverage of nation wide purchasing of drugs LOWERS the cost of a wide range of medicines in this country. The eventual agreed prices indicate drug companies vastly over claim their amortisation of research costs. In the public hospital system here you’d be amazed at the discounts companies who manufacture medical equipment such as CAT scan machines offer for bulk purchases.
The supposition Randian ‘objectivists’ have they and they alone possess anything like economic common sense is as silly as the claim all participants in a free market will behave out of rational self interest. I’m not sure which species Ayn Rand and Ludvig von Mises thought they were writing about but it’s not the one I belong to.

 

If your from Australia the American health care system is none of your business.
Right now we have a priivate companies providing health care for profit. Thors companies are extremely heavily regulated which greatly increases costs and does nothing for patients. On top of that you have insurers telling hospitals what they can treat and what they can't. On top of that we have pharmaceutical companies using doctors as pill pushers and now doctors dont really practice medicine they just hsnd out drugs.
Our system has the worst of both worlds.
We either need a fully government paid system or we need it fully privatized with government interference.
Right now people pay hundreds of dollars a month for insurance and they can't ever afford to use it. That's what was wrong with Obamacare. I literally was forced to just give insurance companies thousands of dollars.
I still couldn't afford to go see a doctor because that would cost tens of thousands of more dollars. On too of that all they would do is run a bunch of expensive tests and tell me they can't find anything, maybe they give me a perscription for pain meds.

 

If you have to pay tens of thousands of dollars for healthcare then you certainly didn’t investigate a good plan for you

 

Under obamacare there aren't any good options.

 

Tell that to the millions and millions and millions of Americans who can now see doctors when they couldn’t before. Tell that to all the people with pre-existing conditions were denied coverage. My insurance didn’t change one bit.

 

Yeah i paid for thoes millions and you know what i couldn't go see a doctor. I am 48 and have no health insurance can't afford it.
So yeah great your welcome, thanks for stealing my money.

 

If you could not afford Obamacare then you would have qualified for Medicaid.

Tell me about the health insurance you had before Obamacare. If you have to go to an emergency room, I will be paying for it...but unlike you I care about others

 

The difference is I am not sure how life developed but I don’t feel the need to create an invisible man in the sky who went poof and everything fell into place.

 

I was paying something like 300 a month and had a deduction of 8000 dollars a year.
When you live paycheck to paycheck and you are paying for your wife's cancer another medical bill is not an option, no matter what
At the time, if I would have gotten sick, i couldn't have gone to the doctor inspite of the thousands of dollars i spent for that very reason. Had that money not been stolen from me i could have gone to the doctor and paid cash.
Obamacare was **** legislation and it alone makes Obama a **** president.
I don't like using that language but it's the only word that fits.

 

If you couldn’t afford insurance you would either qualify for a subsidy, or for Medicaid. Nobody took anything from you.

 

I qualified for a subsidy then had to pay it all back.
