Moore, a hard-line conservative and former Alabama Supreme Court chief justice, has been a polarizing political figure in Alabama politics. He faced immense backlash during the 2017 special election amid allegations of sexual misconduct with minors from decades ago, which he has denied.

The NRSC has said that its official position on Alabama's Senate race is "ABRM: anyone but Roy Moore."

"We believe most Alabama Republicans realize that nominating Roy Moore would be gift wrapping this Senate seat for Chuck Schumer," SLF communications director Jack Pandol said.

Why yes.... yes it would, Mr. Pandol.... This is the best news for Democrats since .... this morning. Regardless of the truth of any allegations against this guy, he's obviously nuttier than last Christmas's fruitcake...

I obviously don't expect him to be the eventual R candidate, but I'll watch as much of this primary as humanly possible and hope he gets it.... and so does Doug Jones...

Welcome Back Roy.... Yippee Kay Ay!!

Any chance Moore wins the primary??

Are they would-be molesters who ignore court orders and get removed from office?

That was only part of the OP, the other was the claim he is a nut.

I’m sure the righties on this forum will be happy, they all defended Moore last time around.

That was when the orange halfwit was supporting Roy "I like 'em young" Moore in his election. Now that Roy "I've got some candy" Moore is on the outside looking in and Bonespurs won't endorse him, they're going to turn on him.

I don't think he was defended after the sexual abuse allegations came out, like Democrats did with the rapist Clinton.

Not agreeing with someone doesn't make them a "nut". Being a nut makes them a nut.

Worry about the nut office-holders in your own party.

Oh guess again, they all denied that they were legit. Just like republicans always do.

I don't know how you got that from my post on Roy "Rogers" Moore, but you are mostly correct anyway..

That they are outspoken, women, of non-lily-white backgrounds, seems to be more your problem than mine..

Big Roy fan, are ya?? I'm rooting like hell for him myself...

“He totally denies it. He says it didn’t happen. And, you know, you have to listen to him also,” Trump said.

Anyone who doesn’t support Moore is giving in to the left wing !

LOL... Being against Roy Moore is about the only thing Trumpy and Mitchy seem to still have in common....

    https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/449601-mcconnell-vows-to-oppose-moores-senate-bid-in-every-way

Gosh, who do I root for here.... the whackadoo Senate candidate or the whackadoo Senator??

I'm of the same background as AOC and I think she's a dangerous raving lunatic. You?

Not at all. I'm confident the AL senate seat won't be D next time. Interesting Moore is leading now, but as one source says:

"Alabama’s primaries will take place March 3, 2020, and polls this far out are largely a measure of name recognition."

    Kind of explains Biden's lead.

She's a little out there for my taste, but she's not my congresswoman..... She's certainly not a dangerous raving lunatic (although I think she's in the wrong with the concentration camp comparisons - even if technically correct)...

It takes all kind to make a party... The D's have AOC, the R's have Louie Gohmert and Matt Gaetz...

I'll take 10 of her over 1/4 of either of those 2....

How is it even technically correct? They are in those places because they broke the law in coming here.

Which shows how radical the Dems are these days, that you would say such a crazy thing. And of course, the old standby racial smear came out of you. I'm half Puerto Rican, went to a Puerto Rican restaurant for lunch yesterday, FYI.

Hope you didn't have paper towels thrown at you? That's not a PR custom, is it??

The people are put into camps that are concentrated in a few locations..... thus......

    Never heard of it.

By that definition kids at a day camp are in a concentration camp.

The point is, neither is AOC. For example, most in her district wanted that Amazon deal she killed. I'm not into identity politics, I realize your party is based on it.

I also cook it. Arroz con pollo, frijoles negro, good stuff.
