Yeah...sort of like one of the major things that makes me an American is that, you know I live in America....likewise, what makes the team Canadian is you know....they are from Canada A visit to the PM or President is to reward the team, not the individual players
the NBA is a league, not a sport, it's a league that is international. I guess you could say that basketball is an American sport, but we aren't gonna invite the winner of every league across the planet to the WH
Last Canadian Cup was Montreal in 1993 and I don't believe Clinton invited them... EDIT - Sorry, I meant Bill Clinton, husband of "lock her up" Hillary, for those who may have been confused...
Who the heck cares what they do? They're a bunch of rich athletes that should follow Jordan's rule as a superstar, stay out of politics...
America doesn't have a monopoly on sports...other nations are free to play it....and leagues are free to be created across national border. The Toronto Raptors are a Canadian based team....it's for our great neighbor to the north to celebrate, we shouldn't steal their thunder. In 1992 the Bush family was in the Oval Office, they are a huge baseball family....I can understand why they'd want to meet the team...but again...it was Canada's thunder
We may not want to attend every party, but its nice to be invited. I am not a sports fan and have no Fs to give in this case, but if this is a snub, it says more about them then it does Trump.
If it's Toronto, Ottawa , Winnipeg, Calgary Vancouver, Edmonton, or Montreal I would hope so....if it's Carolina, Las Vegas, or Washington, likely not
