From Ireland, Great Britian, Spain, Portugal, etc. ... what's the point? I'm African-American. My maternal grandfather looked white with very light skin and blue eyes. I was told that his mother had been a black slave whose owner was white and Irish, so he was a mulatto. He married a dark skinned black woman, so the kids ranged from light to dark brown. This sort of thing is not uncommon in African-American geneology.
Her father was a Jamaican who described himself as a Negro from the Islands. Her mother was Indian. Further back on the tree on her father's side there were plantation owners.
