IF so... by how many weeks? Once this part of the formula is admitted... the implications are huge. If it is know that the unborn feel pain by a certain number of weeks then at minimum..... the foetus deserves to be given anesthetic before an abortion. https://lozierinstitute.org/fact-sheet-science-of-fetal-pain/
"What we can say about the fetal nervous system is that based on the best science we have" on the neurons that carry pain signals is that the "system isn't developed until the third trimester of pregnancy," https://www.livescience.com/54774-fetal-pain-anesthesia.html
That is a good beginning... thank you for that article..... https://www.livescience.com/54774-fetal-pain-anesthesia.html Some doctors will lie.... in order to save money....... and maintain job security!
True .... some would..... but I didn't write this.. I just found it by a simple internet search: ISSUES Research now shows that preborn babies can feel pain very early — by 8 weeks
The aforementioned journal "Cell" is an open publication site that is not used by scientists due to the unregulated peer review process and unconfirmed data allowances. Anyone can provide an article for review and get published so the "Journal" cannot be taken seriously. Dennis, you seriously need to research what you post more deeply as these types of slip ups make you look even sillier than usual.
Thank you for the good advice... but the open publication accepts articles by medical professionals who could well be proven over the coming years to have been far closer to the truth than the supposed cream of the crop of medical professionals who rose to the top of medical bureaucracies!
I suppose my "Good Advice" was completely wasted on you in preference of ignoring verified data to continue your pre-conceived beliefs. It is a pity when individuals allow themselves to become mentally corrupted...though I assumed it was harmless fun verses actual purposeful ignorance.
Most abortions are done before 20 weeks....and after that if they are done for the life/health of the woman . The fetus receives anesthesia through the woman. They feel no pain. And why are you so callous about the REAL actual pain BORN humans feel and care so much for the make believe pain of a fetus?? By the way, BEFORE 20 weeks when fetuses move it's a reflex action, it is not pain. Next, do you have a point? Do you want women to lose the right to their own bodies so you can feel all warm and fuzzy about fetuses not feeling imaginary pain ?? Guess that comparing imaginary pain with what the Jews went through didn't work out too well for you...
Even in your OP it is talking about the structure required for spinal reflex response NOT pain perception. And the key word is perception. Why do you think patients in vegetative states develop pressure areas? It is because there is no PERCEPTION of pain
Your advice seemed quite biased to me...... This is one phenomenally well done article: Tridimensional Visualization and Analysis of Early Human Development ....
Computer modelling and imaging of cellular growth and neural connection do not mean nervous system activity or function exist...most certainly not the mature and developed network they are implying. You are again so busy seeking a way to verify your position that you do not research what you post or even really understand what it is saying. Until the neural synapsis of a human brain are in play and functioning in the Cortex it is simply not possible for "Pain" to be experienced.
Of course, the top scientists from all over the world are just medical bureaucrats ....They belong to the conspiracy that also believes climate change is serious. You remind me of the people who could find articles showing that smoking isn’t harmful.
Or are both the born as well as the unborn......... merely Academy Award winning actors and actresses?????
FoxHastings said: ↑ Do the BORN feel pain??? PROVE that fetus is feeling pain and NOT just MOVING as LIVE THINGS DO...PROVE IT!!!!!! WHY do YOU HAVE to ignore posts that prove you wrong....?
Fox.... I don't have to prove anything..... I am merely attempting to get you to think......... proof one way or the other has to be done by professionals in the medical industry....... I am a janitor at a school who has a hobby of debating topics online! I don't even particularly care what you think.... because you have not impressed me as being even a little bit intellectually honest when it comes to these types of questions!
Ya, if you make a claim, especially one with an agenda, then you should have to provide proof.... The FACT that you CAN'T says you are wrong.... NO one needs YOU for that... It HAS been done. Not surprised.... ...….so start a thread in favor preserving women's right to their own bodies ….
For the record........ you Sir are a much, much, much, much better debater on this issue than certain other forum members because I know that I know that I know that you have some understanding of the other side to this question: Note: (Tecoyah is taking the opposite position to his own general personal feelings on this topic...... something that not every debater is able to do effectively)! More squirming You want people to think, or so you claimed........….so start a thread in favor preserving women's right to their own bodies …. What? You don't want to think about that ?? Does "intellectual honesty " include addressing the points in the post of mine you quoted? Why, YES, it does
First of all that fetus is later than 12 weeks but it still isn’t feeling pain because there are no neural connections yet. It weigh 1/10 of one ounces is about two inches If you touch me and I pull back, does it mean I’m feeling pain
