You have a lot of nerve doubting people's patriotism when you say the un-American stuff you say. You clearly have no understanding of what America is about. Just imagine if someone started saying stuff about how some state is overwhelmingly white, and those people there have a different culture, and they aren't patriotic, and what a horrible place, etc etc etc. It just boggles the mind that people can think this way after all this time. But that's obviously why racist Trump has the base that he has, and why all this sort of backwards thinking is the "narrative".
I actually feel sympathy of sorts. The Republican posters from California are torn between leaving California for Alabama.
Neither will the socialists from California in Congress. Works sort of like a cartel and probably funded by one or more.
Saying the pledge is "patriotism." What a laugh. I'm sure Trump say it too until it's time for him to serve, then off he went...to play golf.
What? Different parts of the country have not only different cultures, but different speech patterns, but the patriotic ones don’t have difficulty expressing their patriotism. The left finds it impossible. You say I have no idea what America is about? Really? You guys are trying to dismantle everything America is about, you burn the flag, kneel for the anthem, refuse to say the pledge and fly the Mexican flag, but you’re the patriots even though it woukd seem to kill you if you expressed a patriotic thought. Why don’t you shed tears over America’s homeless vets rather than refugees and illegals? Oh, that’s right, patriotism in your eyes is diversity, which means illegals and Muslims come before Americans. I’m nearly done with you.
LOL...you bring up these homeless vets when it's convenient to you. Otherwise, they are just drunk, drug addicts lazy SOBs that don't even deserve your attention. You fool nobody.
When did I say that? Quote me or your lie is just that, a lie. But it’s nice how you still skip over ANY homeless American, children and adults, and put illegals who don’t habla ahead of them. Remind me again how patriotic you are....then prove it.
I work to take care of myself and my family. I'm not on the government dole, I registered for the draft and would have gladly gone to serve if my number have been called up. I help my neighbors no matter the color, race, religion, sexual preference etc. I would gladly die to defend their beliefs no matter how asinine or heinous it may be. Saying the pledge or saluting a flag by itself mean didly squat.
This is priceless. Republicans want to recall the mayor because of all the poor people including vets. HYPOCRISY ALERT!!!!
See...I'm part of the solution because I actually volunteer my time to help these homeless vets. What have you done other than whine about some make believe leftists who don't give a damn about these people??
Ok, registering for the draft is patriotic. Helping your neighbors is not patriotic, it’s being a human being. ‘Gladly dying’ for a belief system is not patriotic, it’s *******ned Islamic. Who in the military ‘gladly dies’ for anything? I’ll give you the benefit of believing you misspoke and didn’t convey your thoughts properly. Perhaps you meant to say you’d put yourself in harm’s way or put your life at risk. At least I hope that’s what you meant.
It's amazing how many people must be poisoned by right wing propaganda... Just ridiculous stereotypes. You just don't seem to get that people of Mexican heritage or the Muslim religion are as American as anyone. They work hard, they pay taxes, they salute the flag, they stand up at ball games for the anthem, they celebrate the 4th Of July, they raise their kids, they go to school and church, they respect the law, they join the armed forces, they die for this country, and do all the things that people do, etc etc etc. It's just embarrassing and sad that this is even has to be said. Just ridiculously sad.
Yo, Steve, you are doing a number on yourself tonight. Please restrain your racism. It isn't flattering to today's American.
Kudos for helping vets or any other homeless and down and out people with your time, hell, in my book any charity work is worth a pat on the back. I don't have the time to work with charities, but when I do it's for animals, for that I will donate what little time and available funds I have. I express my patriotism by believing my country is great, I put my country ahead of all others. Even when I disagreed with Obama I never blamed or hated my country for it. When customary, I stand for the anthem, recite the pledge and respect the flag. I will never take sides with another country over mine, I will never fly another country's flag at my house, nor will I respect anyone who would. Like within my family, we may quibble a bit, but when it comes to dealing with the outside world, my family comes first. With that in mind, we may quibble as Americans, but should an outside entity interfere, disrupt or try to harm the American's I quibble with, then I will always take the side of the Americans. Also, I would never do anything to embarrass my country, just as I would my family. You will never see me calling our leader a traitor or a puppet just as I would never call my wife such things. I think a patriot would not expose any dirty laundry to the world, but outlets such as CNN, MSNBC and certain politicians don't agree with my philosophy. BTW, you;ve never seen me call for jail or prison sentences for our former and possibly corrupt leaders. While I might criticize policies, behaviors and what not, I will not announce to the world that our leaders, past and present, are corrupt.... with the only exception being Lois Lerner. What purpose does it serve America and our global reputation to say such a thing? I've never, ever called Obama a traitor or called for his impeachment. What would that tell the world about our country?
I notice that this kind of "hate high', instigated by someone who doesn't live California, simulates a cathartic movement [bile type]. Trump is in trouble so impulsively insecure hate-ridden Republicans start a ridiculously absurd thread. A good number live in states as liberal as California who they blame for turning their state Blue. You guys are examples of cringe-worthy look aways.
We did, and that's why the number of homeless veterans continues to decline. Obama era initiatives led to a 50% decline in homeless veterans: Veteran Homelessness Drops Nearly 50 Percent Since 2010 https://dod.defense.gov/News/Articl...elessness-drops-nearly-50-percent-since-2010/ https://www.militarytimes.com/news/...-number-of-homeless-veterans-dropped-in-2018/ https://thehill.com/homenews/news/414436-number-of-homeless-vets-declined-in-last-year https://www.apnews.com/15d67327b7624a36aa9b5fbb2c9f861f https://www.va.gov/opa/pressrel/pressrelease.cfm?id=5136 https://www.wsj.com/articles/more-u-s-veterans-are-off-the-streets-1541044860 https://www.miamitimesonline.com/ne...cle_1aa54b8e-9b1d-11e8-97b4-7b5dc6994b0f.html
Not demoralized because we don't hang on Trump's every word. We go more by what he does, not what he says. I would say anyone demoralized with his tweets, are Democrats. They have a copy of every petty lie he says, but never reports any of the good he does.
Well, on Trump's signature issue (immigration), I see the situation is worse than it's ever been, and that's after two years of GOP control of government. Same with healthcare, infrastructure, deficits, and the drug epidemic. And this is the same shitty economy we've had since the Obama years. Pretty soon, we'll all be working at Denny's or Amazon "fulfillment centers" for minimum wage. We don't make anything in this country anymore. I had hoped Trump might deliver on at least that promise, but he screwed that up too. Our trade deficits are the highest they've been in years.
WRONG! They quit because Democrats refused to cooperate and about a dozen states filed lawsuits to prevent the commission from getting the data they needed.
