Well he was fired. He is even seeking re-instatement. Whether he was fired for just cause is the issue. I don't think the firing is in dispute.
They will serve the LGBTQ community & they pay the same price for the same food. They also don’t ask you your sexual preference when you enter the restaurant.
At the risk of derailing @Sallyally , I developed an allergy to yellow jackets in my 30s. I had been stung several times by them when I was younger but this one time my whole body started itching and turning red, then my throat started closing...pretty scary and I was told next time could be worse...I have epipens now.
By funding anti-LGBT organizations. It's well documented. I posted an article earlier I suggest you read up.
Yes, I think I get what you mean: 1. If he was fired for being discriminated against, he deserves to be compensated. 2. If he was fired for something unrelated and was looking to collect by falsifying a claim, he deserves to pay for the court costs in this whole case and remain terminated. If so, we are in agreement.
The left plays this game all the time. Here in California they targeted In and Out burger because they had donated to a republican (and a democrat). They got even more business. They try to politicize a chicken restaurant-and the customers respond with their support.
They don’t. The owners are religious but it is no bearing on who they hire or their customers. Unless one feels closing on Sundays is discrimination. Doesn’t stop Democrats from as usual assuming a bunch of **** that is only in their imaginations. Some d-bags have tried setting up their employees with cameras at drivethroughs, but it backfired.
This is politics. Things get politicized. You are being a part of that by your participation on this forum. But you're right, this is just a game that "the left" plays. Thanks for the laugh.
How as a company do they discriminate? Do they refuse to hire gay people, refuse to serve gay people?
Well glad to hear you agree its a political argument being made against Chick fil a, and not some moral one.
That was what "they" said as "they" opposed the law. Don't blame Moi. That was their quote. Ask "them".
You really think “the Right” is more active in trying to tear down businesses that don’t follow their perceived rules? You haven’t been paying attention much if you think it’s an equal playing field. Leftist groups are obviously paying people to try and punish organizations or businesses that aren’t walking in lock step. Who has the fracking time to go around trying to set people up like the left has been doing? That’s not naturally occurring here. It is a coordinated effort and it’s dangerous.
No but the owners have actively supported anti-gay orgs. I've never stated that the restaurants discriminate. Some people would rather not support owners that have views like this. It is fair game to call them out on it. What aren't you following here? I'm getting tired of explaining the issue and your next post that does not display a grasp of my position will be ignored.
Source for people being paid by "the left" to do these things? And again the right plays politics as well. They dox abortion doctors. They send plants to planned parenthood. Stop acting self-righteous. You have no high ground here, and I never claimed I or my party do either.
I said nothing of the sort and I am done with you. You are either not arguing in good faith or can't keep up. Either way I have no time for it.
Sure. I'll just pop up the financial records of organizations and ask if they can provide detailed accounts of everyone they pay=) Like I said prior, people with jobs shouldn't have time to run around and poke businesses, searching for things to sue them for using entrapment, phony requests and "fake outrage". Working people are usually busy and you know, WORKING and taking care of their families=) Not hunting around for bakeries that won't write a certain message on their cake, when there are numerous within driving distance that would happily write "Jesus is the Devil" on a chocolate cupcake, if you asked them. I follow Occam's razor when it comes to these things. Its far more logical that leftist groups will happily pay people for their time to single out these businesses, than believe all these SJWs are simply doing it in their spare time. Just think of the business plan of Media Matters. Their only goal is hunting through untold volumes of documents, audio and video, searching for ways to shut down Conservative media and speech. They PAY people to do this. Abortion doctors can't really be doxed. Their credentials are VERY public. If you want a list, you can literally look them up. Far different than hunting down personal info on a random kid caught at a conservative event, for example. Democrats are FAR more aggressive doxing and suing people for not following their lead. Its not even in the same stratosphere. Thats where the term SJW came from. There are no Conservative Social Justice Warriors=) Tech companies are literally eliminating anyone with centrist or center right viewpoints now. Universities are preventing any non-Progressive speaker from using their 1st A rights by claiming they're creating danger, when the FACTS are, the SJWs are the ones committing the violence, through threats and violent protest on campuses. The right certainly plays politics, but we're talking volume here. Its just not comparable.
The right just targets different things to appease their base. I'm a little disappointed you think the scale isn't pretty even. Meh, no worries.
Sorry to hear that but Im not going away. I don't think you are either. Im am arguing in good faith. Chick fil a can do what it does, its both legal and ethical. I will let you decide if its moral. But its not an individual who gets to decide. And as much as the left hates it-Freedom is still a thing.
Its not even. Why is it the left always assumes either the right is playing politics, or both parties are? Sometimes its the left, and not substantively anything else.
