He's an anti-immigration, anti-corporation environmentalist not a white nationalist. Read his manifesto.

He is also quite insane as his reason for doing this to address his grievances

"So the next logical step is to decrease the number of people in
America using resources. If we can get rid of enough
people, then our way of life can become more sustainable. "
I don't think many "white nationalist" find that as their motive for being a "white nationalist" and this guy did not exclude "white Americans" as his targets.

It’s true. If I shot a burglar here in NM the cops might question me but nothing would happen if I acted within the law, which is defending my home. I lived in CA for 21 years and know full well that shooting a burglar would put me in big trouble, especially if he lived. I will follow up with stories when I can get on my computer.

It wasn't out in the open, like this. But yeah, you're essentially right. But I think most Americans aren't racist. Trump only seems to have the solid support of about 40% of the country. And that's during record low unemployment and stock market highs. He is extremely oft-putting to most people.

There are stark differences between the two parties on civil rights, healthcare, abortion, immigration, and taxation. They're not even close when it comes to these core issues. If the Democrats could snap their fingers they really would turn the healthcare system into a European model. If not Britain's, then something like Germany's. The GOP would do what? They have no plans for healthcare, other than an abiding hatred of Obamacare. And when it comes to abortion, the two parties are polar opposites.

I very much care which party is in power when it comes to these issues. Gun control too, although I don't trust the Democrats on that issue that much.

You take what you can get. Right now they're not insane.

    Yeah.

I was more optimistic until today.

"Can he [Trump] at least stop stoking the fires almost weekly on Twitter?"

Can the anti-corporatist environmentalist stop stoking the fires? Read his manifesto.

Do you know what specific South and Central American countries these immigrants came from and are they still working in the area?

The map I remember was based on Spanish speaking by counties and the pattern of states outside Texas with low Spanish speaking populations matched areas with traditional poorest in the US counties. In Texas, they were heavy Hispanic counties mostly along the Mexico border. From Louisiana to South Carolina, they were mostly Black counties, particularly in Mississippi. South Carolina wasn't that bad and Tennessee was spared, but eastern Kentucky, southern West Virginia and the Virginia panhandle counties were very heavily white counties (95% to 98%). Counties with large Indian Reservations was the fourth group.

Gee, it looked fair to me, everybody was getting screwed.

This is disingenuous. He is clearly a right winger, you know that.

Many right wingers have been environmentalist and anti-corporate. Though typically their anti-corporatism is directed at jewry, which this guy did not.

Oh he's a disaster for the Republicans. His economic populist scam was obviously a lie, and he's mobilizing the latino population against him. He might lose Texas in 2020, it's not likely but it's plausible.

And I agree, I don't think most Americans are racist. I think most Republicans are.

Oh sure, I care too. I just don't have a high regard for most liberals.

And yet it was not a 'right winger who said, 'Just went to a Southern Virginia Walmart. I could smell the Trump support.' That was from a very anti Trump person who was communicating with same.

He is not clearly a right winger. He is so far not a Neocon. He is clearly not a fiscal conservative. He doesn't seem to favor the outsourcing of jobs. He is viewed by many as a populist.

Chances for what are zero or close to it? You surely can't be talking about criminals having firearms in MD?

Because Aussies know more about the US than Americans do. Of course the reverse is also true that Americans know more about Australia than the Aussies do.

Best to stay at home where you know you'll be safe. The US is far too dangerous a place for an Aussie man, but the Sheilas are always welcome..

One of our favourite overseas locations is Bali

And it is definitely a third world country but that does not stop us from loving the people, the place and the culture and lending a hand when necessary

You know nothing about the USA except what you choose to read. Only a fool believes everything they read. Read some of your own history.
