Her plan won't work as we already have hundreds of millions of guns on the street and in personal possession. And even if she eliminated every gun in the country, new ones would be smuggled in from Canada and Mexico.

Her extremism on this subject just highlights were her mind is. If holding a gun manufacture responsible for shootings makes sense to her, then holding alcohol companies responsible for drunk drivers would be next, right?

If Warren bothered to glance at the FBI stats, she'd know that to reduce gun deaths by 80% she'd have to eliminate 100% of the murders committed with ILLEGAL firearms. The left wing activists worked for years to get her out of prison and this year they succeeded. Bill Haslam (a Republican corporatist shill governor) let her out. This is just one story. Bullcrap. I'm a lifelong gun owner and hunter, but the NRA has become a Republican political animal and it's "all or nothing" approach has put gun ownership in jeopardy.

I don't think many NRA people realize that while for this of us over age 40, guns were seen as a tool for hunting or sport, but
for those under 40, they have grown up in an atmosphere were there has been a weekly massacre of children in schools or friends in movie theaters and concerts and guns are more often seen as the means of this destruction.

If we are going to save the right to own guns, then we are going to have to been seen as more reasonable and willing to compromise on some styles or types of weapons. There is a whole generation coming up for whom guns aren't the
tool they once were. An "all or nothing" approach might just end up being "nothing" when these next few generations flood the ballot boxes.

But if gun owners can get rid of the NRA and the negative press t generates, and become a more reasonable, and sometimes willing to compromise body, then the coming generations can be convinced of the idea of "reasonable" gun owners instead of a
bunch of "get off my lawn" crackpots.

 

Except the NRA has backed most gun control that actually exists up to and including the bumpstock ****ery.
So they're not really the one's you're mad at, you people just don't KNOW any other gun rights organizations.
