Standard practice of a feminist in fact the foundation of all feminism. They don't like when there are men only things. They think it's where men go to talk about them. They think we are obsessed with them. They want to us to be.
Translation: "My Party has more Black fwends than your Party and my mommy says that if you don't have Black fwends, you are a dumb-dumb and that is very mean! .... Also, my daddy is stwonger than your daddy!"
Spoken like a true extremist who can’t see that having no black representation is a bad thing. What you do is reduce a real problem to some childish drivel. All or nothing thinking..no gray. I hope your mommy is smarter than you portray her
Why is representation so important? I really don't get it. Not having people who do not look like you at society's top, does not mean you are left without role models. If you think a Black female cannot have Taylor Swift as her idol because they are of different races and that a White boy cannot enjoy the works of Thomas Sowell because they are of different skintones, you are a racist. If you think a girl who dreams of becoming a professional basketball player cannot look up to Kobe Bryant because he is a he and she is a she, you are being a sexist. The only extremist in here is you. You are the one making the argument that individuals are only to be judged for their physical attributes and that their prefrences reflect the prefrences of their entire racilal group. And that is true extremism in its most extreme form. Are you trying to prove you have Black friends by cracking "Yo momma"-jokes, or what?
Wow you really don’t get it. We are not talking about Taylor Swift. We are talking about people in our Congress who make laws. When there were no women in congress women did not have their voices heard. You need people with different backgrounds. Whoever said that a white boy can’t enjoy the works of Thomas sowell? Wow again you really don’t get it ..a girl could never dream of becoming a professional basketball player because that wasn’t in her realm of reality until laws were changed and title nine allowed girls to get scholarships and money for teams. Actually most women look up to other women for their accomplishments because they can identify with them. It doesn’t mean they can’t respect someone else because of their race or gender. This quote of yours is priceless llThe only extremist in here is you. You are the one making the argument that individuals are only to be judged for their physical attributes and that their prefrences reflect the prefrences of their entire racilal group”. And that is true extremism in its most extreme form. I guess you don’t see the humor here you are accusing me of saying that individuals are to be only judged for their physical attributes and that their preferences reflect the preferences of their entire racial group. I never said any such thing but you are projecting your extremeism o to me. A non extremist would see that people representing minority groups are necessary as they understand first hand the problems their constituents endure .no one ever said they’re ONLY judged for ohysical attributes...that’s would be extremism, so please stop projecting your inability to see things in gray onto me by the way, why are you accusing me of making yo momma jokes? You’re the one who did that ps I have spent way too much time here. I was organizing my closet but I guess this is more fun LOL
Who do you think young girls care more about, Congresswomen or Taylor Swift? Ask a 15 year old Black girl to cite two of Taylor Swift's chourses and she will nail it. Ask her to cite the two most recent bills and she will look at you with a blank stare. Young people look up to celebrities. Not politicians. No. You need people with the right qualifications and that is all that matters. Racial and ethnic background is completely irrelevant to determine a person's adequacy for a given task. Then what is up with this obsession with "representation"? Pricelessly true. You spend waaay too much time guessing
Most Teenage girls don’t vote but their parents do! women in congress are aware of discrimination and fight for their constituents..same with other minorities I’m confused as why you’re comparing Taylor Swift to a representative who sets laws in the country. By the way most black girls don’t love Taylor Swift but that’s beside the point. Toddlers care more about Ernie and Bert and don’t know any bills in Congress either ...by the way you g people voted in huge numbers during the mid terms Race and ethnic background is definitely relevant to their constituents. When women were involved in making laws, things changed for women. When there were black representatives things change for black people. And before you say something extreme let me say there are plenty of white people that are great representatives for black people and a great many men who support women’s rights. But understanding the plights through personal experience gives extra insight that others don’t have. Why do you think I am “obsessed” with representation? Everything you see in extremes . I am not obsessed with representation but it’s relevant to the discussion. Maybe you don’t care about who represent you, that’s your issue. Why are you so obsessed with not having someone represent you (tongue in cheek) I keep forgetting you take everything literally. I don’t literally guess that you are an extremist when you make up all or nothing conclusions. I guess you don’t know what figurative speech is
So black people must be represented what's wrong with them? Why do you think they are inferior that they need representation in things?
You kind of hit the nail on the head here. People who need to be inspired by people who look like them are people that can't be inspired. Renee thinks that's black people. It's amazing how white supremacist they really are. How inferior they think black people are. How desperately they need to signal their virtue of how not racist that are.
Again this obsession with group identity... Well, I do not know what the teenagers of today listen to. I could have as well said Adele or just changed the example to one of a White girl idolising Rihanna and my point would have remained the same. "Taylor Swift" was just serving as an embodiment of "Popular-White-Female-Idol. She is kind of cute and maybe that is the reason I thought of her first. Lol. You people? Who are we? I disagree. Whatevaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Lol..Isn’t the Internet great? We can say anything. By the way I wish George Clooney would leave me alone. He’s here you know
There you go again accusing me of being obsessed. Debating a point means obsession to you. Why are you so obsessed with what I am saying? Why are you so obsessed with what teen age girls are listening to? The point is so ridiculous because it has nothing to do with anything. Most teenage girls can’t vote but when they to college , they do! I guess now it means I’m obsessed with college kids
Sure, I do, if you are a white educated veteran professional, comfortably cis-gendered male. We have been entitled. We should pass it on whenever we can. That is living up to be an American. That one or two may disagree is immaterial to me.
Which reminds me there is this bridge in Brooklyn that you would like. Only one careful owner and it has been marked down for a quick sale so it won't last long.
I already bought it thank you and they threw in a paint job. Remember I’m from Brooklyn and I ain’t no dummy LOL
