I finally experienced white privelege

The University I got my degree from banned all white people from campus.

A white male professor showed up anyway and he received death threats and had to be escorted off campus by the police for his safety

Banning a race from a public institution is unconstitutional

So one privilege of being a white male is systematic institutionalized racism.

 

I'm white and I can add some anecdotes of police harassment.

Who do you think is more likely to harassed by cops, a sharply dressed black or a poor looking white? My contention is police discrimination based on economic profile, is far more prevalent than just soley, race based.

 

Huh. There are corner stores and little markets here that do the same thing. We call it the "White Tax" .

 

Poor people are the raw materials that are processed by the prison industrial complex which fuels multibillion dollar corporations.

Take a simple example, a traffic ticket.

A traffic ticket of 100 dollars is ten times more punishment for someone making 10K a year than it is for someone making 100K a year-regardless of race.

Never say never. It happened to me, in Fitchburg MA. (And I'm white and a woman to boot!) Same scenario, seems I resembled a perp who asaulted a female cop. This was in broad daylight, as I was walking home from the 24 store minding my own business.

That's funny! I was in a similar type of govt agency recently, and saw the same (though opposite, if you will) response. An African couple and an Indian man (arriving seperately) attracted those confused looks from the 90% White Trash who normally frequent the place.

 

I'm white and I've never seen any African Americans being treated unfairly at Walmart or the grocery store in my area.

 

Also Michael Jordan who is African America is now a billionaire who has a lot of respect among all races. Conservatives don't hate blacks and maybe not even democrats. You far left idiots though think all republicans hate blacks which is a flat out lie. We just didn't agree with Obama's policies. I don't dislike Obama personally, I have no reason to dislike him personally. I just disliked his policies.

 

That's very piss poor procedure for detaining 2 criminal suspects. Officers should have approached with weapons drawn, order perps to comply then handcuff one suspect at a time. Walking up to 2 criminal suspects and just throwing them on the ground is very hard to believe because it puts the officers in a one on one hands on situation with no way to deploy lethal/non-lethal force, but I suppose procedure is different for different agencies.

The biggest contract I can think of is electrical maintenance at Texas Instruments. We lost the contract after several successful years to a company that was female owned. That company couldn’t fulfill the maintenance requirements and started hiring us to do their job. TI got fed up with them and went back to us, even though we raised the cost of the contract.

We’ve lost a lot of business at government sites because of EEOC issues.
