That post alone tells me that you shouldn’t be anywhere near children let alone to be teaching them.

Genocide, slavery, enslaving its own people, press gangs, beat them to death, for the slightest offence, child labour, what a glorious time the British Empire was.
How lucky the rest of the world was, to have it rule and abuse most of its population.

Because I told you about life before the empire involved burning wives alive on fires at husbands funerals in India before the British put a stop to it, or all the cannibalism in Africa the British put a stop to?
Open your mind to the British empire and British rule stopping savagery in cultures who dis; otherwise you're just another racist who's ashamed of history thinking it's okay to be anti British because somehow Britain is bad. Do people think it was white Brits in Africa catching slaves or something? It was an African slave trade operated by Africans. When people started banning slavery the African economy collapsed because no one would buy their slaves anymore.
Don't get me started on any German empires, too much genocide.

    Aren't you both wrong?
UK is in the EU so isn't a trade partner with the EU but is the EU and the UK has no trade partners, only the EU has 'trading partners'/trades on all the EU member's behalves, including the UK.
Import something from USA to UK, you'd be paying for it to enter the EU with its import duty. Brussels probably collects import duty for all things outside of the EU coming into the UK so UK is the EU and I didn't think I had to tell anybody this, but, apparently I do and people think the UK trades with the EU; no, UK's in the EU; so Brussels oversees all UK trade overseas.

Come to think of it, protectionism is good; I'm not really a fan of free trade when it damages developing economies dumping on countries in Africa locked into free trade deals with the EU and China so EU and China dumps/floods onto these markets under cutting/under pricing the locals who are banned from refusing all these excess food from the EU and China because of some deal the EU's in which means UK won't be after Brexit; People; it's 2019, I don't think you understand; The developing economies in Africa suffering, the children and prisoner slaves in Chinese prison camps and sweatshops making everything if not organ harvesting the Falun Gong (go London's Chinatown on a Sunday, sign the petition for the UN the discuss this matter of 2019 genocide).
Can't tell China what to do in China, but we don't have to buy Chinese without slapping some child slave labour duty on to it so it competes with domestic production where labour laws are stricter and trade unions exist.

I guess they don;;t have irony where you live. You say you want 'the pros and cons on any subject' but then claim 'you would turn a classroom into a right wing think tank'. Your kids are only allowed left wing think tanks, huh?

In fact many of the former British colonies are now the world's leaders and Britain has been a powerful and positive influence. If you know of any other country which has done as much good as Great Britain let's hear it.

What you say is true. For now. I was talking about the actual trade, about the goods manufactured in UK and EU being sold across the border between UK and EU. So far this border is not making any diffictulry. But with Brexit - it will. And the problems of UK because of Brexit will in its turn hit the EU as well.

I don't know the details of tariff policy at the moment. But it will definetely change after Brexit.

As an example I can tell a sad story of economic decay between the former republics of the USSR. With the political change whole branches of economy disappeared. For instance Russia was manufacturing clothes. These were made of cotton harvested in southern republics. Several years after the collspase of USSR southern republics decreased production of cotton and russian industry naturally died. The same happened to computer and car building industries in Baltic countries. At the moment even if the political changes are favourable for restoration of everything existing in 1989 it would require huge investments and will hardly survive the competition with the goods from other countries with well-established industries.

Brexit is a point of dramatic change in economy of the whole region. Even in case that the change is coordinated and planned. Which won't happen because of absence of a deal. Which in turn means than both parties will make actions not to the common profit but will try to profit at the expense of the one another. This war is going to be even harder than the current war of China and USA.

Noone can predict it at the moment. It is the same as divorce. Once you have a communal income and invest into one another it is a win-win situation. Once you start to share communal property at one another expense with a loss of the very quality of a family both former partners lose a lot of wealth. And some things are just lost without any use for any partner. So EU will definetely lose from Brexit. The only question is how much.

Whilst the British were supposedly putting the world to rights, including attempting to prevent suttee, the indigenous British were burning to death old women with dementia for witchcraft.
The British Empire was a crime on a global scale serving only to enrich the British white establishment.

UK is going for No Deal Brexit; The PM has announced he's going to suspend parliament; people, you have to understand, this was coming; UK is leaving as a whole, and it's Westminster making the call, because London's the UK capital.

So all my black friends aren't British?
That's racist; so black people can't support Brexit too? (That's nonsense, black people support Brexit too). Again, it's 2019, not 1709, not 2009; the days of old have gone, from a white Britain to a Britain in the EU; quit living in the past; I'm glad I'm from a black neighbourhood; I'm glad we're leaving the EU.

You are the one who invoked the past, and now you want to dismiss it.
I have said that colonial Britain was (do you know the meaning of the word was?) a crime on a global scale which enriched the white British establishment.
    <Rule 2>
Incidentally the British colonial empire was not entirely visited upon black people, for example the Chinese in Hong Kong, the fact you only select 'black' speaks to your own racism,

That's stupid, is it a crime to stop a man from eating another man? Is it a crime to stop men throwing a widow onto a fire. The crime was Africa's slave trade; The British Empire was a customer, like countries buy made in China today. I know the history of colonial Britain; it was institutionally racist saying 'DON'T DO THAT!' because before the Brits came along, people were eating each other or throwing windows on to funeral pyres.
Understand that debate? Understand how it went down in India and Africa before England showed up. Slaves were legal, opium was legal; if UK was evil, those things would still be legal, it's 2019, get with the program.
To bring British rule to India to stop the madness, these people back in the day outlawed India from making linen, forcing them to buy linen made by poor white children in work houses/ 'sweatshops to you and me' up and down the UK out of cotton harvested by African slaves bought by plantation owners; after selling these sheets to India, they picked up opium and off loaded it to the Chinese by way of Hong Kong because England saw the potential in Hong Kong and made it what it is today - a last bastion of freedom against Beijing's communist party that's also a jewel too rich for PRC China to mess with.

Do you think that UK now is the same country now? Or do you want to be out of the EU, out of all these deals that ruin developing economies who enter into free trade deals with the likes of EU and China to flood the market and under cut the locals so they don't make any money.

China now lead the way in slave labour, and we buy made in China so much it makes me sick.
China however have made it an internal matter, so aren't selling slaves to other countries like Africans did.

So now the government is trying to shut down parliament so it can force through a crash-out Brexit, contrary to constitutional norms. Will the Queen agree, or will she do her duty and refuse?

Regulations on food safety for a start. The US has been trying to sell us beef full of hormones and chickens covered in bleach for years and without the EU reg's to protect us we will be subject to US food standards in any new trade deals we might be able to negotiate.
Britain on its own is not going to negotiate on equal grounds with America. The desperation to make new trade deals in a hurry post Brexit will give the upper hand to the US.

I think the PM is doing it because parliament is broken (you remember all those no votes this year that killed the deal Theresa May got the UK; nothing can get ratified), and the Westminster government* have said is they don't want to extend Brexit anymore.

So now you support May's deal?
Now you think a PM should be able to override Parliament?
If you ever use the word ''undemocratic'' again I shall return to this post of yours...

Britain went to war with China because China didn't want the opium the British wanted to foist on them.

One conspicuous feature of the absconders' retreat from the EU is the added bureaucratic impediments they are inflicting upon the people of Great Britain in the form of more intrusive State apparatuses meddling in one's routine affairs.

This is but one instance of government complicating life and causing undo inconvenience and hardship:

Under BoJo's frenetic disinterment of officialdom's onerous red tape, the "Sûreté" will be apprehending Toby and consigning him to the Bastille Des Chiens!

No, that deal Theresa May negotiated had the Irish Backstop and a customs and political union with the EU , however, you can't act like you're surprised about No Deal given what the PM has said about leaving the EU on the 31st of October.
