You do realize that you...a small marginal country...will have to accept deals with anyone. Theremis no queue.
How can you say UK is a small marginal country in the EU? Who do you think paid for it all? UK was there as a big investor into the EU project. You think UK was like Spain, taking money? No, UK was the one bringing money to the table for Spain to take to bring Spain up to code.
You are a small marginal country in the world. You lack purchasing power. Thats your problem. You dont have the economic power as Germany. Compared to EU you are a minion. Tell me what negotiation power do you have against China, USA or EU? The EU showed entire world you have no power. You said you force us into a better deal. We say no and let you run off a cliff.
So what happens when the AfD win in Saxony and Brandenburg this weekend? What is the general feeling in Germany towards this shift? We will both run off a cliff, don't be so naïve into thinking that the EU will not take a huge hit in the event of a no deal. Businesses in Europe are s hitting their pants over a no deal.
The UK was most certainly not a small marginal country in the EU but as for your suggestion that the UK 'paid for it all' that is ridiculous. Most of the countries which are not net contributors are those who were rushed in after the fall of the USSR. An independent Scotland in 2004 would have been a net contributor. The country which contributes most to the EU is Germany. Out of the EU however the UK will not be in any way a 'big' country. The UK will no longer be one of the biggest voices in Europe but only a satellite of the US. Further the chance of the UK surviving is small. England will be a small satellite of the US probably with Wales hanging on. Scotland and N Ireland will likely move towards Europe, leaving in the end England very isolated.
I don't know what's smaller, the chances of UK surviving or the chances of Scotland joining the EU as an independent country.
You are not suggesting anything except a flaimbait. The other possibility is that May's deal will be put in. This whole saga has nothing to do with democracy. It is to do with two things keeping the Tory Party the Party of the Deep State together and keeping neo liberalism ruling the people of Britain. The one thing the powers that be have zero intention of doing is serving the people and that most certainly includes those who voted leave which does not include you.
Here's a treat you guys are all going to get after this ridiculous saga is over No retirement till age 75 https://anotherangryvoice.blogspot.com/
Craig Murray asserts that this speel that the queen had no choice but to accept Boris suspending Parliament is just spin. He believes it was the deliberate choice of the Queen. He also explains the situation re Johnson having no majority which some people did not understand. https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/
I did assumed that you would be just based on previous comments I had seen. Aren't the AfD anti EU? or at least a vast amount of their voters? What's your position on that? I believe the EU will take an enormous hit, like we will. The problem the EU has is it needs to cater for 27 other states which will need huge economic assistance.
No, the intent was to bring us out but the consequences remain the same. A no deal will damage both of us so the game which is currently being played is a dangerous one.
The UK has less than 2% of world trade, yet thinks it is a country that matters internationally. It would be horrendous, but part of me would love to see the Republic of Ireland immediately cut off the 70% of Electricity it supplies to the UK part in the north after Johnson has his 'no deal'. It would after all simply be applying the EU system that the UK has chosen to leave. The mainland brits won't care if the Northern Irish suffer anyway, they gave the Irish narry a thought when voting leave.
Unless leaving the EU was approached with zero thought which admittedly is suggested, how you describe it would make it impossible to suggest leaving the EU in the manner you suggest without also intending on destroying the EU because in order to give the Leavers what they want it would be necessary for the EU to basically self destruct and assuming it does not choose this, there is no way the No Dealers can get what they want. I think Germany will be hurt reasonable hard because of our trade but Germany more than any other country will recover. I do not see it having an impact on the rest of the EU which will hurt them anything like it will hurt the UK and given they do not want the EU destroyed I would think they will choose a little disturbance. I think there is another component that people are not looking at and that is the involvement of the United States. https://www.newyorker.com/news/news...annon-and-cambridge-analyticas-role-in-brexit I have also heard Brexit described as a battle between the bankers and the Hedge funds - the bakers being represented by the 'centrists' and the Hedge Funds by the No Dealers.
So when I ask you to back your claims with something concrete you claim ignorance? Show proof or stop posting fakes.
Boris doesn't welcome a general election for one reason, he's likely to lose. https://www.thebrexitparty.org/
I think that marginal country will be happy to leave you to pay salaries for the unemployed in Greece, Spain, Italy and all the phony 'refugees' swamping you. Enjoy your feeling of significance while it last.
Yup, by splitting the vote on the right the Brexit party is the reason Boris would lose and the left would win. Which is why Cameron agreed to a referendum in the first place only it was UKIP that time.
That is true but we could still have an election except that the right of Labour and all the Tories would rather have a No Deal and indeed an extreme right Government than letting the people of the UK have their voice because they believe they would vote for Jeremy Corbyn. They would prefer No Deal and even fascism to a social democratic leader working on the basis both the Tories and Labour worked from WW2 until Thatcher.
Actually, it runs exactly as I predicted. I predicted a no deal Brexit and a relatively fast free trade agreement within a month or two after it.
No, you said EU would buckle and give by. That was Johnson plan. A freetrade agreement is Not in EU interest. Its in EU interest to see UK fail.
